I think Zoltan has got his bubble-wrap suit done up too tight...

Something that has always irked me about certain supporters of this club is their arrogant superiority about their level of "Fremantle-ness" which sets them apart from some other supporters, whether that be where they grew up, what WAFL team they supported or even the fact that they played for a Fremantle team.

Here are some facts...

- Not all Fremantle supporters live or have ever lived in the Fremantle region. In fact, not all Fremantle supporters even live in Western Australia.

- Not all Fremantle supporters grew up supporting a Fremantle WAFL team or for that matter any WAFL team at all.

- Not all Fremantle supporters have played the game, let alone, for a Fremantle based team. (Believe it or not, some of them are even women)

How can you assert that one person involved in the club is going to be better than another simply based on a degree of Fremantle-ness? It's that sort of thinking that got the Nazi's in a spot of bother in the 1930's.

I wrote a tongue-in-cheek blog some weeks back about a Citizenship Test for Fremantle supporters. It appears that there are some out there who thought I was being serious.
