Kerr On The Market
Considering all the "required player" comments from the eGurls and Dopey Daniel's "I want to stay at the eGurls" statements, I was surprised to read that the eGurls have put a price on Dopey's head.

See The Australian's article.

Re:Kerr On The Market
So...

they want
"any trade would require one pick under No4 in the draft and another selection before pick No10 as a starting point for a deal."

for

"Kerr's season came to a premature end last month with his second suspension for the year. After playing just 11 games this season, he underwent knee surgery this month, which finished a season that has featured a number of below-par performances.

Last year he was also suspended twice, and missed the Eagles' final four games, including two finals, because of a finger injury.

Despite playing just 17 matches last year and being ineligible for the Brownlow Medal, Kerr still polled 22 votes to be equal second behind Geelong's Jimmy Bartel.
"

You gotta hand it to 'em... start high, you can only come down.

Oh... I squeaked out an early morning involuntary pun. And there I was thinking saying something about horse trading would be cute.

They are delusional. His hammies have been buggered for years. He won't last a complete season with anyone... unless, of course, he didn't have to travel.

Re:Kerr On The Market
I like this sooky la la school yard logic ...
"We had to give Chris Judd up for the third selection in last year's draft because he was out of contract, but Daniel Kerr is contracted.

"So we'd be entitled to another pick in the first three as well as an additional draft choice inside the top 10."

Precious.

Barnaba on Kerr.."He's made a very mature and concerted effort to live the core values of the club."

Agreed. For many years now

I don't know what he has got to do with it but Jimmy the Greek tells us that a five year contract deal from the Sydney Swannies will be on the table in the not too distant future.

either the west knows something special is going to happen this weekend or it is shoddy journalism.

If the toast "who are set to finish 15th behind Melbourne" on the ladder do that, who the hell finishes 16th behind the toast?

Re:Kerr On The Market
Best thing to have happen would be for them to be stuck with him.

I don't believe they want that... but they've strated the ball rolling a long, long way out.

Re:Kerr On The Market
I think you've got the right prediction there Smiley. The e-gurls are still sulking over the Juddy thingo, so they've come out with a huge opening price in the hope they can recoup something. What they don't realize is that the two deals are not related (well they are only if Carrrlton propose a deal). I suspect that a lot of talk will take place resulting in a no Kerr deal. While all the media are focused on the e-gurls sooky chest beating, who knows what other gems may appear. It'll be an interesting trade week me thinks.
Taking the thought another year further, if Kerr was stuck with the weags, do you think he'd be upset enough to next year put his hand up for the GC17 as an un-contracted player?

Re:Kerr On The Market
It's quite obvious that Eagles want to get rid of him. At no stage have they come out with "he's a required player", it's only been hes a contracted player (price) and how good he is (price)

Re:Kerr On The Market
He's so close to stuffing up again, forcing the AFL to take action and costing them precious draft picks to further add to their "New Breed" it's not funny. There's still time before the end of this year.

Go on, Dan, you know you want to...

Re:Kerr On The Market
I was tempted to speculate along with you there, Bear... but along comes Pants with a shiny machete, ripping straight to the guts of the matter.

He might, he could... he's not playing but he's close

to the edge

uh huh huh

he's tryin' hard

not to lose his head

there are rumours of a radical weekend recently. I reckon if we hang on a leedle bit longer, we could get him for a coupla cans of VB and a large bag of Smiths crisps.

Opened.

Re:Kerr On The Market
Well there was that little incident at a party not so long ago involving young Daniel, his Dad and a couple of minors who got smacked around a bit, remember?

Not sure his Dad's the one to be keeping an eye on him.

Re:Kerr On The Market
He's only done one hammy... officially.

You believe anything 'official' coming out of anyone to do with that lot?

I don't... besides, I know someone who knows someone who smells bad.

I am happy to see any evidence to the contrary. Shouldn't be too hard to find a period where he was injured for 3-6 weeks where no one could explain what the injury was

You're either extremely pedantic or just being defensive... trust me, that boy has dodgy muscles all over his legs.

I don't usually buy into the whole footy goss thing. It's not my scene, man. My scene is that one in Apocalypse Now when Dennis Hopper comes capering aroound with about a million cameras around his neck whining about 'him, maaaan'...

but you go right ahead looking for your 3-6 weeks. I'll sit back here and say that boy is damaged goods and it's all self inflicted damage.

He suffered a bowed tendon, went shin sore and what about all the time he missed due to the Equine Influenza?
