DD has got me hot under the collar. As soon as anyone starts carping on about how much they have done for the club, they have lost me. It sounds all too self serving, like wanting to big note yourself around town and having something glossy for your CV. DD doesn't mention he has the backing of an interest group. So he is like a candidate with the backing of a "party" running against two independents. Without their backing he probably wouldn't ever have been there. Crying foul in the media is a low act. All it does is perpetuate the "basket case" image many people have of Freo. Well done, DD.

If anyone, especially Dave himself, hasn’t yet woken up to the fact that it’s the rarest of rare occasions when Dockerland puts any effort into coming up with something of a serious nature, then the fulltime goose position must be extremely lucrative because no doubt they’re making eleventy squillion on the overtime!

The simple and plain fact that Shane removed the website, blatantly says he didn’t really give enough of a rat’s clacker to bother arguing about it and for the newspaper to still, after Shane’s admission, somehow grind out a meaningless two bit story out of it suggests they did so for similar reasons; there is bugger all else to write or talk about.

You know, i've noticed that in every Election in which DockerDave is contesting (i.e. only those that dont include a high profile candidate who will win easily) there is always a story about him in the West. There are no stories about other candidates.

How does DockerDave continue to get the free, exclusive and prominent advertising?

I have another question completely unrelated to the first, how does the West get its inside info about the FFC? Is there a leak on the board? and has it been there for a long time?

And who is Dave Rawlinson? is he the union guy? and why is his name in the story - is he someone who the West can just ring up for a comment? or are he and the West a bit more acquainted?

Back to DD, if he is a product manager of a trucking company, why would he not have the name of his company included in the photo of him in the West? If i was a product manager I would endeavour to product place my products in every free advert available. Not only is he hopeless as a Board Member, he sucks at his job as well.

For any board member, there can be no greater act of betrayl than a breach of confidentiality.

Be wary of any member of any organisation who keep blabbing on how about how much they love a place, they are usually compensating for something.

Those who know me know how little I have done for Dockerland and you go and point that out to others who may have thought otherwise. Thats a good question Bizkit, I hope they're back next year as they were a quality team and I will only get better if I play against the best.

But Pants/Kate, it does lead to a conundrum for you. According to DD "club policy forbids board members from writing on websites".

I wonder to what extent this policy applies, surely the FFC cannot stifle free speech and hopefully you can still contribute to this lovely site and also continue to kick but in the DFFL. I understand that any leak of confidential business would be a no-no and rightly so, but surely you are allowed to comment on anything you wish, whether a board member or not.

Were you aware of this club policy, if so, do you have concerns with it or are you happy to be silenced. Does DD provide information or comments to the FreoMob or any old bloke walking down the street? If so, how is a website any different. DD makes comments to the West - how is this different from a website. I understand where the club is going with this, but surely board members are mature and responsible enough to determine what is right and what is wrong - jeepers just read what I wrote and clearly with DD on board that statement is wrong. Oh well, carry on.

Anyhoo, I would be interested in your comments on this subject before you are gaffer taped.
