Half Full or Half Empty
Below is a current list of players.

The players highlighted *** plus Farmer Carr and Mark Johnston were the team that defeated Collonwood,a 2008 finalist, in the last game of the season.

Bradley, Kepler ***
Browne, Andrew ***
Campbell, Adam ***
Crowley, Ryan ***
Dodd, Steven
Drum, Marcus ***
Duffield, Paul ***
Foster, Andrew
Gilmore, Daniel
Grover, Antoni
Hasleby, Paul
Hayden, Roger ***
Head, Joshua
Headland, Des ***
Hinkley, Clayton ***
Ibbotson, Garrick ***
Johnson, Michael ***
Mayne, Christopher ***
McPharlin, Luke ***
Mundy, David ***
Murphy, Ryan ***
O'Brien, Brock
Palmer, Rhys ***
Pavlich, Matthew
Peake, Brett
Sandilands, Aaron ***
Schammer, Byron ***
Solomon, Dean
Tarrant, Chris
Thornton, Scott ***

Considering that we lost a number of games by a small margin and the fact that if we add players like Pav, Hase, Peake, Dean Solomon, Grover, Gilmore, Dodd to that list and from what I have been reading from various supporters on this site, some pretty good talent from the draft(s) our prospects for the new season look good.

I am definiteley looking at next year from the glass half full perspective and I hope there are not too many out ther with the glass half empty approach.

Re:Half Full or Half Empty
I've never understood the need for the level of the glass to be halfway.

Re:Half Full or Half Empty
On that list of players who have *** beside their name (v Collingwood Round 22, 2008)...swap Adam Campbell (played) with Chris Tarrant (injured)

plus Carr J, Farmer (BOG) and Mark Johnson (instead of D Solomon)

Pedantic? yes.

Re:Half Full or Half Empty
And what about the team that won in Adelaide a few weeks earlier?

One constant - no Pavlich. Bugger the glass level, he's gotta go.

Re:Half Full or Half Empty
You have to take into account that a big frothy head and a long conical bottom makes the glass look fuller than it really is.

I think Freo's head is a bit too frothy. Needs to settle.

I also have a feeling that we have a few players in the conical bottom category - maybe Bradley, Browne, Campbell, Dodd, Drum, Foster, Head, Hinkley, O'Brien, Mayne, Headland, Mundy, Murphy.

Re:Half Full or Half Empty
A pessimist might say where were these players the week before against Richmond (finished outside the eight) or the week before that at home against St Kilda. A pessimist might say Collywobbles were concentrating on Finals and not motivated for the Round 22 game.

The pessimist would be wrong though...we are going to be awesome this year....
