I was thinking why some of our indigenous players are mostly called by their first name, eg Jeff, Roger, Des. Whereas a lot of our non-indigenous players are called by their surname or a derivative of it, eg Pav, Taz, Sandi etc. Of course their are exceptions to this such as Grover and Josh. I may be reading something that isn't there into this.
