Bit early to be casting those sort of aspersions I would've thought?

I do actually...damned if I can find it though...

Re:Naitanui
Last Saturday when the game needed to be won at Basso, I looked to the sky to see if the Big Guy was going to lend a hand. My field of view was interrupted by the ball, a pair of hands and then some dreadlocks - down he came with the pill and soon it was through the goal at the other end. When someone needed to stand up and take responsibility for the win Nats obliged - it was a Justin Longmuir response to a surging Thunder.

Hopefully we will welcome him to the Purple...

Actually go here for Vids on a heap of draft prospects.

Look especially at Hartlett and Zeibell

Re:Naitanui
IMO re-signing of Warnock and Mundy are priorities. The selection of Natanui in my view depends on the signing of Warnock. If we assume Watts goes to Melb and Rich to WCE, if Warnock stays I'd be going for Hamish Hartlett at pick 3. If Warnock goes then Natanui would have to considered at 3.

Re:Naitanui
I think it's been established NicNat can jump. He can also run. Beyond that he struggles. A top 10 pick maybe, certainly not our number 3 pick when we need midfielders.

This will be the last uncompromised draft and it is looking like being the strongest since the Judd/Hodge/Ball draft. We are set to have a number of picks and stock up on youth. In the humble opinions of my fellow dockerlanders, who should the recruiting staff be looking at?

As I see it we should focus on midfielders. Rich is the stand out midfielder but with a pick behind the weazles it doesn稚 look good for us. I知 hopeful of a swap with Melbourne if Robbie were to go, for their number 1 pick for our number 3 but I知 not holding my breath. In the absence of Rich, Hamish Hartlett has shown plenty and looks to be a gun. I値l admit to only seeing highlight videos of him but they were bloody good highlights. He looked better than Rich to be honest and coped with a tag much better.

Our next pick is at 21 and as you go further into the draft it is much harder to pick which players will be available. I知 hopefully Tom Swift will slide to this pick because he was the hands down best player in this age group before his knee went. Look at the stats and reports from the U16 carnival and you値l see Swift at the top of almost every category. He is young and should recover from his knee injury but is a definite gamble. I知 willing to take it and I hope the recruiting staff are too.

From here it is a lottery in regards to accurately guessing who will be available. If Clancee Pearce lasts then grab him. I致e been on and off the Deboer bandwagon but after watching his last few games for Claremont I知 back on. If Warnock were to go we could draft a ruckman with a late pick or a pre season draft pick.

Re:Naitanui
Hartlett is an interesting one...beautiful kick off both feet and reasonably quick.
Jeffrey Garlett would be worth a look too

OK... ok ok ok...

I like that, even without sound.

Anyone wondering at the athletic potential of Fijian blokes, and their ability to pack on the muscle, should do a youtube search for Fiji Rugby 7s highlights. It could peel your eyes back in fright, these guys get real big and don't slow down. For anything.

Anyone mentions Lote Tuquiri gets a visit from tehSouth Pacific mafia... right Cuz?

Re:Naitanui
Cmon Bizkit - of course he is better than just a top ten pick - Have you seen him live?
He is a midfielder in his own right. He has an enormous upside and may just change the game.
He is like Adam Goodes times a million....
I agree we should take Rich ahead of him is he is available which would seem unlikely.

Interesting to note Melb may have gome cold on Jack Watts due to a few bad incidents in the TAC cup recently so they could beat the weagles to Rich anyway - That would throw a cat among the pigeons!!
Who would the weavils take at 2?? - Prob Naitanui!!

Re:Naitanui
So you're saying that Naitanui could become some sort of monster with incredible strength, speed, endurance and agility? A player who can either run the ball with defenders hanging off him like ticks on a bull, or bulldoze a clear path for team mates to waltz through? Plus he could lay a tackle that would leave the other mob seeing stars?

Well sign him up and order the sirloins. Bloody as hell.

Re:Naitanui
If Nait is there at three we must take him but I dont think he will be unfortunately. The Eagles will cut Seaby and they will be looking for a replacement. But its not right, he is not the west coast type, Dan Rich is. We must get Natanui cause he's our boy!

The good news is either Watts, Rich or Naitanui is ours.

nb Imagine if GC17 was involved in this years draft with all their priority picks!

Re:Naitanui
Haven't seen everyone on the link yet but I also liked Pearce - not as much as Rich and Naitanui tho. would take Rich over Nick as he seem to have a wealth of talls and keps doing his bit in the ruck with Sandi. Agree that midfielders are a priority but we would have to take Nick at 3 if he was there. We don't need I Watts I think.

Will check out the others

Re:Naitanui
I'm with you hypen, there's no shortage of talent here. It doesn't matter too much who we get in the first round. Plenty of good players in subsequent rounds also.

If Warnock goes to Melbourne, they should probably take Watts; if not, then Naitanui.

Hard to tell what the eagles will do but they will probably pick Rich/Naitanui over Watts, if available.

Re:Naitanui
If Freo can get a bidding war going for Warnock, say between Melbourne, Essendon and Carlton, would Melbourne trade #1 draft pick for Warnock and say, Mundy?

Its a nice thought, anyway.

Re:Naitanui
Please tell me if it's written somewhere or rumour only that Watts has said he wont come if he's picked up by a non-vic team?

He will drop out and nominate again for next years draft?
