Mad Monday Misdemeanours
Forty 20-30 year old footy players, all in one place, drinking as much as possible in a twenty-four hour period. What could possibly go awry?

See the Herald-Sun article.

Re:Mad Monday Misdemeanours
It would be easy to blame alcohol or youth or the pressures of a long season of football but it's pretty obvious who's fault this is - The West Coast Eagles.

Post season hijinx has always been something that the world has been happy to tolerate. Very rarely is their much to these sorts of things but, for two reasons, the Eagles have buggered it up for everyone.

First, their complete arrogance stopped them from ever taking action against players who broke the law. Not surprisingly things escalated as they started to carry on like spoilt children, hung out with organised crime figures and convicted felons, used over qualified lawyers to dodge everything from traffic offences to minor possession charges and forced the AFL to take action. At which point, the bar of tolerance had to be set at a ridiculous low for everyone.

Then you've got the Eagles flunkies running the media who, every time a player from another club does anything ranging from littering or higher, demand that the AFL take action similar to the sanctions placed on the Eagles.

I've had my fill of them. Just chuck the Eagles out of the game and everyone who supports them. If they're too gutless to do that, I'm taking up a collection for a fence.

It's also clear that the slime are responsible for global warming as well, and for Sarah Palin shooting her first moose.

They have no shame.

Honest Johnny at it again,

I quite like this bit, re Kerr

"He has not asked me (about a trade), he has told me he wants to stay and that is as late as yesterday afternoon before he had more than three beers. And he was still of sound mind."

Didn't mention anything about the Horse Sized Pills

Re:Mad Monday Misdemeanours
I think it's called Mad Monday because they get the Australian Family Association to pass comment on the shenanigans. According to the, Fev could presents confusion about sexuality.

Turn it up. Any 10 yr old can see it's an ugly chin with a bloke attached to it, wearing a dress. Stupid and embarrassing yes. Confusing, no.

Put Fevola on a stage dressed like that and they sell tickets for it.

Re:Mad Monday Misdemeanours
It's no different to any ordinary Aussie bloke's bucks party (or hens party for that matter, some of those "ladies" can be a little ribald). I didn't see John Brumby with his mug on the telly getting all indignant when Damo from Wangaratta got tied up to a bridge wearing only a mankini and a pair of stilletos.

Ok to drink beers and carry on like a pork chop but that appendage is going a little too far don't you think? In public.

Re:Mad Monday Misdemeanours
Poor taste should not come under the jurisdiction of the AFL.

Would anyone care if he'd done it on the Footy Show in front of a few million viewers?

Re:Mad Monday Misdemeanours
So Hypen, I take it you haven't seen a group out on a hens party carrying water bottles of similar symbolism? Are these to be banned also?

Is Fevola an idiot that deserves to be criticised at times, yes. Should it go any further than that, no.

It's all another media beat up.

Re:Mad Monday Misdemeanours
I don't get it. I'm sure that no children would be offended by Fevola's behaviour. Their sanctimonious mothers maybe, but the kids would think it was funny, or perhaps a little scary.

Perhaps the media are upset that there were no really good fights between footballers and members of the public, and no mobile phone camera photos taken under toilet cubicle doors, in short nothing to make you buy their papers or watch their TV shows.

Re:Mad Monday Misdemeanours
With Wiz gone I reckon Fev is one of the only characters left in football. Good on him I say, an idiot for sure but an individual who isn't a clone like most of em.
