Even Jakovich won't join them
They mentioned on one of the newses last night that Glen Jakovich had turned down the Eagles coaching job to concentrate on his media career.

I can only assume that get out is the coaching equivalent of having a back related hamstring injury. The other option is that things are so bad at the Eagles, even Jako can see the writing on the wall.

Re:Even Jakovich won't join them
Jeez, they'll be ringing Barra and Dopey next.

That short list of their must be the longest in history.
It'll be funny next year watching Woosey and Suma in the box together. Nice and cosy, just the two of them.

Re:Even Jakovich won't join them
This is the worst news of the offseason.

Now we'll have to listen to his drivel on the teev instead of having him bring down the weavils from the inside unaided.

This is devastating.

I'm with you, Dolph. I was thrilled when I heard that Jako was likely to join the coaching ranks because this would mean that we would have to put up with him far less.

Hugely disappointed.

Re:Even Jakovich won't join them
If even Jako can see the writing on the wall (if not quite able to read / translate it into English), then how dumb does that make the AFL?

Re:Even Jakovich won't join them
Come on, lay off West Coast for a while. Their supporters are still dealing with the news from the Brownlow Medal that Q. Lynch is their game-breaker.

And as Barra (on the radio) explained about 'Jack' - with his job as ambassador for fisheries on top of his media commitments, a job at the eagles would just give him too much stuff on his plate.

Well the thing is that if Jacko is concentrating on the media then he will have to double or triple his ESL classes.

I actually enjoy hearing how many new words Jackovich makes up when he's commentating. I'm sure they'll be in the New Oxford English dictionary soon.

Barra looks like he's had way too much on his plate for years. And eaten it.

Please, please let Danny Green forget it's a charity boxing match when he comes up against the mighty Boxing Barra.

Re:Even Jakovich won't join them
In other news, Zimbabwe president Robert "What inflation?" Mugabe turned down the assistant coaching role with West Coast to continue his humanitarian assistance and economic management career in Harare.

"The offer was tempting", he told reporters outside the Presidential Palace, "but I don't want to work with an organisation that makes ZANU-PF look like Mediceins sans Frontiers."

West Coast are now believed to be widening their search, with a prioirity given to candidates that can mesh easily with the corporate culture. Unfortunately, enquiries to the Medellin Cartel, Amy Winehouse and Daffy Duck have gone thus far unanswered.

Re:Even Jakovich won't join them
It's just getting sad now. Even Ben Cousins doesn't want to be associated with them.

I'm thinking of buying a membership just out of sympathy. What's it cost nowadays? A fiver?

Re:Even Jakovich won't join them
Dont do it Shane.
They will send you a membership bag, of dope and try to trap you thru addiction.
Plus your membership will automaticaly link your name at the police data bank for being the most likely %*&^% wit to be linked to the crime in your area.

You will also go onto Eagles neighbourhood watch.
That is when an Eagle is running or driving away from police , you will have to provide a safe house when they knock on your door.

Keep your soul pure my freind.
