Re:Duffield and Drum
Well Chinaman, Browne IS more of a midfielder than a forward crumber. He wins the ball as well as anybody and as his little tap on Sunday indicated, he has a good football brain. The problem is that at the moment he seems unable to get clear passes out to his teammates - I've lost count of the number of times his kicks have been smothered or he himself has been enveloped in tackles by larger defenders.

Which is where these media nongs who say he hasn't done anything (I'm looking at you, Langdon) are barking up the wrong tree. The stats might suggest that, but watching the game has revealed a different story.

Re:Duffield and Drum
When disposal and turnovers have killed us all year, I think it's worth noting that Marcus Drum has hit a target more consistently than any other Fremantle player in 2008..He's averaging 15 touches a game which is more than many......

Re:Duffield and Drum
Browne's disposal has been fine this year, at least in the games he had before he got hurt. Again. Again, again.

The difficulty is the same as with Webster, you gotta love them to bits but they're just always falling apart. Tragic.

Re:Duffield and Drum
duff was far and away our best today with palmer and hayden, and i hope he gets the chance to consolidate his spot in the middle coz he should be played every week. Looks good for next year as he tackles, chases hard gets the ball in and under, hits the target and can kick goals. A star in the making.

Re:Duffield and Drum
Best game the Duffer has played for Freo since Sirengate - would appreciate a tackle or two sometime.

Re:Duffield and Drum
Paul Duffield was terrific on Saturday. Sound judgement and very good delivery. I hope the coaching staff stick with him in the midfield role.

Re:Duffield and Drum
Yes, Duffield was great, particularly when he got the ball in space. However, he has a tendency to fumble when he gets the ball under pressure. I think he is waiting for the contact, and it puts him off. Harvey would hate that, and will either get rid of that part of his play, or get rid of Duffield.
