Doig Medal Advice
Going to the Doig Medal this week and having not attended one before we are not sure of the dress standard for a black tie do.Mrs Freomitch is uncertain if its strictly ladies long dress or not.If anyone has been before could you let us know.I understand fashion sense is not a big topic here but any advice will be appreciated.

I believe being a black tie event, it is like the brownlow night, the chris judd's g/f's red dress type (oh btw please take photo's of mrs freomitch, so we can have a peek at what she wore for the red carpet). Although the media attention wont too bad, as it is the Fremantle best and fairest award night, and we all know how much publicity Fremantle get in the West Australian Media.

Re:Doig Medal Advice
Micro mini in sequins... I suggest Purple with matching heels. A large Gucci crocodile skin bag would top that off nicely.... and, despite the late hour, some extra large sunglasses by Dior with gold trimming.

Re:Doig Medal Advice
A pressed and clean long sleeve 1996 away jumper (the green one) with a snappy purple satin tie, creased Hard Yakka work pants (without plaster spats), polished purple Steel Blue boots (with red laces).

The Mrs can wear the same - ditch the tie and go open neck on the jumper, substitute shorts for the pants, add on a pair of green Holeproof socks and a Freo bucket hat.

A Docker Dangler on the Mrs (to accentuate the cleavage); Flashing Anchor from Angry Almond (as a kind of tie clasp) on you Mitch.

All set for the Doig.

Also, make sure you take the cement mixer out of the back of the XF FreoMitch - let the Mrs have a night out in style.

Re:Doig Medal Advice
My advice to Mrs Freomitch would be a black dress length doesn’t really matter the colour is slimming and usually looks classy. Make sure she packs emergency accessories in her handbag, if when she walks in she’s not dolled up enough a quick trip to the ladies to bang on the fancy jewelry, a fresh coat of lippy and tighten the girdle until at least two ribs crack then she set to go…

Re:Doig Medal Advice
For the first time in some years alas we decided we are not doing the Doigs... something about the poor season and TEE pressures and the fact that the tickets have gone up by a solid 10% every year for the past three and $195 is a pretty stiff price tag for dairy-substitute cheesecake speckled with maltezers...

but as the female of the partnership I can advise that no expense should be spared -- Saturday morning should be spent at the spa getting the manicure/pedicure and Saturday afternoon at the hairdresser... no kidding... one year Mr BellforPM took my frock with him on a business trip to Melbourne the week before so that he could buy a bowtie that matched.

Sigh. We'll expect a full report Freomitch.
