Was at the GF today to unfortunately see the young black ducks go down, but was sitting just behind a group of blokes including Dessie Headland.

I love the bloke, and have a hatred for Subi, which made me all the happier to see him wearing a Swan Districts guernsey under his jacket! My brother, Dad and girlfriend loved it, but my Subi mates, not so much.

Would I be correct in saying he actually played for Subi this year?

Dessie was from around Lockridge way so probably would have gone for the swans. I know he is good mates with Garth Taylor and a few of the other swans boys. A lot of the guys from this area played juniors for Basso (which wore the Black and White) and then went onto to swans if they were good enough. I always wondered why des went to subi when all the others went to swans???

So the move from Subi to the Swans had nothing to do with Des' Belmont ute with the modified Jag hood ornament on it...

I thought the word on the streets was 'Give way' especially those streets that end in T-junctions.

Noticed DJ got votes early in the year, Pity his injuries kept him out most of the year. He and hase both looked set for big years in the pre season.
