DJ Gorn for Season
Dessie's knee is much worse than was initially thought. It is still a bit of a mystery about what the problem is, but he may not play again this year.

Re:DJ Gorn for Season
Bugger! He was one of our(very few)taller, running midfielders able to deliver inside 50 and also be a goal kicking threat.

Re:DJ Gorn for Season
He'll be greatly missed. Really sparked the team up when he was on fire. 2008 is turning out unlucky.

Big shoes for the young guns to fill.

Re:DJ Gorn for Season
This says more about our selection policy for the rest of the year than it does about Dessie's knee.

Finals are out, Play the kids, Get Dessie fit for 2009.

Re:DJ Gorn for Season
I think it says his knee is rooted.

Re:DJ Gorn for Season
So that's two rooted knees and it's only round eight.
Hmmm. So what's Fremantle's problem again?

One of the problems associated with a team full of midgets.

Re:DJ Gorn for Season
No great loss in my eyes.

Des is just like Freo - promises a lot but the return is disappointing.

He is just far too inconsistant and has not played as well as I think we were all hoping he would.

Re:DJ Gorn for Season
He was, though, having one of his best seasons.

I hope we get him back later in the season, he was going ok earlier in the year.

Re:DJ Gorn for Season
Sounds like bad news, Des and Hase were two players that I thought were really going to get back to there best this year. By all accounts they had both worked there butt's off in the pre season.
Although we never really got to see much of Hase what little we did was very good as were DJ first couple of games.

Hope it's not a Justin Longmuir knee injury.

Re:DJ Gorn for Season
This is a massive bummer if it's true - Des was looking the goods this year. We'll just have to wait and see what the 'tests' reveal...

Re:DJ Gorn for Season
Gone for the season is nonsense.

If it's just his knee, I can't see why he can't play in the Derby and punch 4 weeks out of Selwood.

Then again, this could be another 'McManus is immediately moving to Tassie to grow roses' story.

Re:DJ Gorn for Season
I take full responsibility.

I had 2 bets on the Brownlow at the start of the season - Hasleby and Dessie. I promise to bet only on E-girls from now on.

Re:DJ Gorn for Season
I hope Dessie takes the season off and gets himself 100% for next season. No risks need to be taken with him as he is a much more important player than most people are willing to recognise. He is a star and was playing like it before he was injured. Good luck Des.

Re:DJ Gorn for Season
Sounds like a pretty serious injury, and yet -
"Headland will be assessed when the Dockers train tomorrow."
Why when they train as opposed when they can discuss and assess the issue with medical staff (which should be just about any time)?

Re:DJ Gorn for Season
from what I heard on the radio the medico's can't work out what the problem is, they think he is ok but he keeps pulling up sore after exercise so they want to assess him after he has trained.
