I agree that Des is a star; but then so is everyone, cause stardust is what the entire universe is made of.
However, I am not sure he is such a good football player. Perhaps a bit like a shooting star ....flashed across the sky in his last season with Brisbane, picking up the 16 Brownlow votes with his outside runs from the centre courtesy of handballs from the greatest midfield ever assembled.
I am not sure he has picked up 16 Brownlow votes in all the games he has played with Freo.
Good luck to him though. I am convinced that he is a lot tougher than what he actually shows on the field. Just unsure of why he does not show it often enough.

My reading of the point is

He only picked up votes in Brizvegas for doing the flashy outside stuff so you can't rely on Brownlow votes to determine how good a player is but he hasn't picked up enough votes for Freo so he's no good.

Des is both an outside player and an in and under. He breaks lines and has second to none disposal. He is so far from the weakest link in our team I'm sometimes not sure people watch the same game as me.

A fit Dessy is in our top 5 players. The end.
