Andrew Jarman
Please tell me I didn't hear on Channel 10 that Andrew Jarman is being considered by Freo as an assistant coach. If his past behaviour's anything to go by, the man's one sandwich short of a picnic for a start. And he's an EX-ADELAIDE PLAYER. I rest my case.

Re:Andrew Jarman
Are you sure it wasn't just Lachy trying to get a bloke onto the tv in Perth with less hair than him?

Re:Andrew Jarman
The rumours of Andrew Jarman and Fremantle have been on Adelaide radio a couple of times in the last few days.

Don't be fooled by what Jars was like as a player. He is an excellent coach. He took a very average team in North Adelaide from the wooden spoon to finals, every year since he took over. He is also very good at developing young players, which would be a key role with us.

Andrew Jarman would be a great assistant coach, and his style would compliment Harv's aggressive style really well. We could do a lot worse than Jars.

Yeah. But don't hold it against me.

Re:Andrew Jarman
Jarman was great as a player - equally good as a SANFL coach. Determined.

But what I like most about the idea is that Wet Toast have appointed an assistant from Port - getting an old Crow can only help intensify things between us and them.

Re:Andrew Jarman
I actually do not mind this idea. Anyone but Malaxos or Broadbridge. We definitely need some new people who are strong and committed. Jarman has an impressive coaching record in a good competition; far and away above the WAFL.

Jarman would be pretty good and hard.

Re:Andrew Jarman
I've had a few drinks. Remind me, was Andrew the one who was glorious to watch, beautiful kick, used to play for the Wee Poos ... or the knobhead brother?

If it's the beautiful kick, let's have him.

If it's the knobhead, wouldn't it be cheaper to get Brad Hardie?

It's the knobhead.

Darren was the ex-Hawk.

Re:Andrew Jarman
Andrew Jarman was a character of the game in SA. A bit of a larrikin who knew how to have a bit of fun. this made him a knobhead in the eyes of some people.
His coaching record in the SANFL was quite good, except for this year, north adel improved each year

Re:Andrew Jarman
AJ was a very smart and skillful midfielder. But think of this - Jarman (SA) as midfield coach coaching Pav (SA), Schammer (SA) and Harlett (SA). There's the future SoO SA midfield right there. Dockers could do worse. Like Suma as midfield coach.

Bloody Modra, why didn't take the South Australian supporters with him when he left.

Re:Andrew Jarman
The guys would at least learn how to throw properly - like Geelong does so effectively.

Re:Andrew Jarman
They can throw, don't worry about that. You have to be Geelong to get away with it though.

he has just been sacked by north for "lacking the passion to continue"

Re:Andrew Jarman
Matty T, could that be because he found the 'passion' for Freo?
