I have a lone purple iris flower. It is a beauty even with this weather. It stands tall and proud and rich with colour and intent. But it is alone. One flower from one plant amongst many. Is it an omen? What message am I to draw from this one proud stem. Will it be the first of many or just a teaser for seasons to come?
