About time this happened. Hopefully the thug will go every time he does it in future, too!

I'm tipping a few of his team mates will sell him out in the hope he'll get a couple of weeks. As many times as he hits the opposition, he hits his own.

I don't mind him though - hard straight attack at the ball, look out if you're in the way. Thug? Maybe but I'm not sure he's smart enough like Greg says he takes his own out often enough. Bit like Clive's but when Clive gets the ball he starts thinking and then who knows what'll happen.

The guy is reckless. The way he charges the pack looks terrible on television. It should be a report every time. Whats the charge 'unduly rough play'?

What he did against the Crows he did against us in the Wizard's Cup match, the only difference being none of our guys got hurt. What Wilson does is no different to other maniac full forwards like Ablett and Lockett, and though were both often under scrutiny by umpires. Hopefully he gets rubbed out before he does some real damage to someone. I've got nothing against a strong lead and busting the pack when still in the contest, but when you are out of the contest there is no excuse to keep charging like a moron.

Except mentioning him in the same breath as Ablett and Lockett.

ooslumbird - apologies for that indescretion, my folly has only just been realised (even though I wasn't comparing ability or success).

at the recent derby Wilson was magnificent fodder, I had a screaming fowl supporter withing shouting distance and every time Wilson got the ball he literally hung his head in between his knees, my wife took the opportunity to yell out, "here we go again!, another point" and it was funny every time, all four of them, or at least everyone around us thought so

I had a fowl behind me screaming about 'Peter Wilson' the same night. They sure know their footy those toast fans.

Gupta - The fowl behind me insisted on calling Judd, "Judge" throughout the match. I pointed out that he (Judge) had never played for the Eagles, but to no avail. It occured to me that that's the fundamental difference between us and them - we are passionate but knowledgeable about football and our team, whilst they are passionate but ignorant

Well, the judge let Wilson (Tonka-Tuff that is) off the hook. No suspension - gives him more licence now.

Speaking of the derby (witches cup style) we were calling the eagles to give it to Wilson so sure were we he wouldn't score once he got it.

The tribunal has set the precedent for charging in 2003.

The Wilson Decision (4 March 2003) in relation to "self defence", will be regularly quoted this year.

Wilson's testimony showed the tribunal that he is in fact as dumb as a box of hammers (or should that be a front end loader) and is barely capable of spelling "charge" let alone knowing what it is.

I think the moniker 'Mongo' should apply to Wilson from this point forward.

If I was on the tribunal the verdict would have been different.

Firstly, Bert Gaudion made a foolish comparison with the front end loader comment. A front end loader is an articulated vehicle and to suggest Wilson is in any way articulate is ridiculous.

Wilson should have been suspended for 6 weeks.

One week for not avoiding the contact.

One week for wearing an offensive jumper when charging an opposition player.

One week for being incredibly thick.

One week for cultivating an outdated and stupidly macho media image.

One week for allowing the press to take his photo in a bathtub with three other gentlemen.

One week for oiling himself up too much before matches.

Am I too harsh?
