Well Said
This is a quote from Shaun Burgoyne about the Ports effort over the weekend:

Midfield ace Shaun Burgoyne, one of precious few Port players to acquit themselves adequately on the day, admitted his teammates were in need of a reminder that toughness was about attitude, not experience.

“It’s a mindset thing, the smallest player on the field can tackle and shepherd and do the one percenters,” he said today.

“(Players need to) just get your head around it and do it, there’s no reason why the tallest player in the team can’t do it or the smallest player, experienced or inexperienced.

“I’d say it comes back to discipline. The contested ball you have to tackle, chase, do the one percenters, it all comes back to discipline.”

I'm not bagging freo at all here, I just love what he is saying. We could learn something from it too hopefully.

Re:Well Said
Rather than resort to clichés and platitudes to turn our form around, I'd prefer to put my faith in the players. Starting with Tarrant. I hope the coaching staff tell him he's one of us and we need him, and may he play a blinder on whichever no-name junkie they put up against him on Sat.

Kick 2, give off 3...and get the idiots off your back.

Always assuming we can get the ball into our forward line, of course. Thirteen inside-50s in the first half against the Hawks, and people are calling for TARRANT's blood?

Yes I was guilty of that too and I take it back. The coach wants him we should all want him. Go tazza do what you do best.
