Re:The Hackdorn
I cant remember who exactly wrote the article but it was a ripper... Haggers would have been painfully jealous.

It was stating wild stuff like harves should mould himself on woosh, dockers need to get kicked out of AFL if they dont win a flag within 10 years, and all this other rubbish, it was in the sunday slime last year.

If anyone can remember who this twit was, i would like to know

Re:The Hackdorn
Well today the old hag gave us a serve......expected.

Thought it was funny that he had written three quarters of the article before he gave a brief mention to the fact that it was 38 degrees.

Could of been a contributing factor??, that the boys left the rain of Perth to play in Sahara-like conditions. Not easy for the body to adjust quickly after a 3-4 hour flight in the morning.

The bloke is clearly working on his stand up comedy routine. Adam Hunter in the top 50 - oh lord!

Re:The Hackdorn
That article read like the work of someone under pressure to score some runs... in a hurry.

The press equivalent of going the tonk.

Ellement, I doubt he would have put that much process into it.

Re:The Hackdorn
BigGaz has done up an actual medal to award, which is going to upset the organising committee for my rival award - The Monkey Butlow.

Re:The Hackdorn
BigGaz's fine work is on its way to the Judging Panel (ie, me) as we speak and at season's end I will organise an official presentation ceremony.

Obviously Haggers has the early running and an ordinarily unassailable advantage, but this presitigious award is still up for grabs and I am suggesting it go to the working journalist most deserving - regardless of their resemblance to the Sea Hag himself.

Keep the entries coming.

Re:The Hackdorn
hag the fag actually out does himself on radio. his double act with hardie would win the coveted water award at a fringe festival somewhere.

but his insights into the top 50 current players in the afl is startling.

brown - match winning power forward.

pavlich - match winning power forward.

riewoldt - match winning key forward.

koschitzke - about to be a match winning versatile big man.

fevola - proven match winning sharp shooter.

thanks kim.

Re:The Hackdorn
It is not just the Haggard(and not Merle) looking one that is a joke,it is the entire bunch of journalists?????!!!!who write for the two rags we have here in this state.
They are doing the greatest snow job ever seen to the people of Western Australia.
Fair dinkum they could make a brown dropping from one of the Seagull players to actually turn into a gold nugget.
I think maybe there is a certain amount of pressure being put on the journos from the hierachy of the WCE to "print only good stuff about us or no entry into the press conferences".
The sad part about it is that it will only get worse.

Re:The Hackdorn
Hagdork is the creme de la creme of the media-ocrity we face in sport journalism in WA, add the school boy wit of Langdon, Barich and the dull-cit droll tones of flapper on 6wf and we don't have much to smile about. I'll listen to the men from the ABC in Melbourne any day.

Re:The Hackdorn
Point less ,It is made out of aluminium therefore silver and blue. Blue and yellow would mean using gold to make the Hackdorn Medal.

I don't know if it warrants that

Re:The Hackdorn
Even an Ali metal is going a bit far.

With all the hot air they guys produce, casing climate change, maybe recycling an old coucil plastic dog would have been the go. "Engrave" it with a blue artline marker.

Leave the old dog collar the tag was attached to on, if their effort warrants it.

"The Lapdog Metal"

This thread doesn't deserve to go cold.

At the weekend I did some dispassionate research to see if Hagdorn is really as bad as you make out.

Cripes. I particularly like the bit where he talks up Mark Johnson and Paul Hasleby as a winning combination this season.

Re:The Hackdorn
I think I'd rather eat Haggis than listen to him.

He seems to have two opinions

One goes along the lines of:

"what this goes to show us it that even an organization as proffessional and magnificently run as West Coast isn't immune blah blah"

and the other:

"we've all waited and waited for so long for Fremantle. Everyone's asking is this the year they're going to fufill their promise but time and time again blah blah"

Re:The Hackdorn
I'm curious, who do Freo make these 'promises' too ? I don't ever remember them ringing up saying "Hey Marto, we promise to make the 8 this year".

Guess they just do it to media types.

Re:The Hackdorn
Its too late Hackdorn. We've made the medal.

Writing one tolerable article on Mark Johnson the week after we made the medal will make no difference. We had to put up with you diohrrea for far too long. You will now forever be remembered - the hack of hacks, the true bottom of the barrel.
