Re:The Hackdorn
Terrific initiative, he is clearly the worst journalist going around. I would even rank Adrian "all my information is from the Internet" Barich ahead of him. At least Barich pumps the Dockers up from time to time.

Yes Kim, Pavlich, Warnock & Bell all want to play for Fremantle, so do Crowley, Mundy, Schammer and many others born east of Midland. In fact I would speculate that Freo's "balance of trade", ie players gained from the east vs players lost to the east, would be heavily weighed towards players gained.

It's young Jay Clark I feel most sorry for. With a role model like Hagdorn, what standard is the poor lad following? Exhibit A:

Re:The Hackdorn
Leave Kim alone!

You people should be ashamed of yourselves. All Kim is trying to do is singlehandedly discredit sports writing in WA and he is doing a fantastic job. He would have been deeply hurt when our boys didn't turn up to his party. All he did was write bad stuff about them and they snubbed him. Who do they think they are? Anyone would think they are a sports club that Kim relies on for his income. Of course he doesn't like Freo - they scare him.

You're all just jealous. Kim earns a good living by making stuff up and he's accountable to no-one. You all just want that for yourselves. You're all just shallow.

Take a good look at yourselves!

Re:The Hackdorn
Fair call Purplemum, I know its a difficult job to singlehandedly discredit sports writing in WA, particularly when you've got the likes of Duffield and every other West writer, as well as this Clark fellow, and lets not forget all the hacks at Channel 7 all doing a fine job in discrediting sports writing in WA.

Hackgorn certianly has a hard task in front of him, but he is do quite well in this regard so far.

Re:The Hackdorn
I love the article, best laugh I've had in ages. I'm intrigued by his suggestion that 14 clubs are lining up to speak to Warnock. What I want to know is which single club doesn't want the beanpole? Find that team and sack their coach - what is wrong with them. Don't they want the next Chris Judd (who, of course, left the Wet Toast - similar to Soggy Biscuit - for family reasons).

Re:The Hackdorn
Of course that club is West Coast. Didn't you know they have the greatest ruck combination in the world? Ever. In the history of the game. Without peer. Once in a life time. Never to be seen again.

Re:The Hackdorn
West Coasts best starting 18.

9 x Dean Cox
9 x Mark Seaby

Unstoppable! $1.01 for the Flag!

(requires cloning of course, something the spin doctors are very apt at)

Re:The Hackdorn
Yes, well put Purplemum - it must be excruciatingly difficult maintaining bottom position, all that straining, reaching up to touch bottom and you feel a hand reaching up past your ankle.

Full credit to the 'just putting it out there' word t*rders for giving Haggers a run for his money...

Feel-good news stories are the chic-flicks of the print media.
Note the underlying nautical theme with their names... Masten, Moore.
I reckon going thru life being named Emmie Moore would probably be better than
being named Avid Hasselhof.

"They also had to show they had brains and a sporty attitude to life."

Because you need to have brains and a sporty attitude to life (??) to hang around petrolheads.

Re:The Hackdorn
Tommorrows headline will be about some girl who met one of the dockers boys once and it didn't turn out. It will have her quoting "I thought he was really nice until he refused to get into a drunked pub fight".

The article will then roll into a speal about how the Dockers whole 2008 season is hanging on the result of a scratch match in south australia, and how the previously mentioned lass's observations show that the club and players have no commitment.

Do you really think an 18 year old kid would be excited about his girlfriend attending parties and meeting grand prix drivers?

I can see nothing but weagle pain coming out of this.

I liked this one also "... made the final cull after a cattle call ..."

Re:The Hackdorn
Considering the Saturday Worst is doing a full interview (yeah sure)with Woosha about all the clubs problems my guess is that the back of the Sunday Slime will read:

After months of speculation, Judd confirms "It's the Dockers fault I left West Coast"

Re:The Hackdorn
Mish has suggested we keep tabs on his half-baked ideas in this 'ere thread.

I demur. We'd have to do it every week because every week is half-baked and it would quickly become a single multiple choice reponse as in "This week Kim Hagdorn has shown he is a) a drongo b) a clown c) a numbskull, or d) all of the above."

I more up for a concerted campaign of complaint letters to the Sunday Times. I'm thinking Andy Dufresne and Shawshank Redemption. It might take a while ... but hope is a good thing.

Heck, if you're going to do that, why not add the AwFL to your mailing list.

The postage sponsor can be either:
i. a round-a-thon with the latest track dog;
ii. a dollar a km for Belly & his BMX.
