Re:The Hackdorn
Can we include radio media or is this just an award for newspaper buffonery?

Hardie on 6peeahh last night has to be in contention for his comment that we wont even make the 8. We'll have to see how quickly he changes his tune if we start winning! What a goose, at least Channel Eagles, 6peeahh and The Worst are all consistent and on the same page (pardon the pun)

Nah, he can't win the medal. He'd just sell it.

Re:The Hackdorn
On the back page of today's Worst, Steve Clown Butler points out that this Saturday's game between Freo and Collingwood is the only time these 2 teams meet in the regular season.

I didn't know round 22 had been cancelled... Anyone else aware of this?

Re:The Hackdorn
More intelligent, informed, accurate and well researched journalism bought to us by the worst, good to see that the mob-up-the-road can put in an effort to improve but the good old trusty worst continues down the same old track!

Next thing you know they will put the price up another 10c just so they can pay these wanna-be's a few more bucks a week to be creatively inspired...

Re:The Hackdorn
Hardy wouldn't sell it he would use it as collateral for a loan from about 3 different people and then let them fight over ownership in court.

Re:The Hackdorn
May be picking nits here, but I wouldn't really describe Anth Rocca as a goalsneak. To me a goalsneak is an opportunistic, usually small, erm...sneaky forward. Can a key forward who is built like a brick proverbial be aptly described as a goalsneak?

Re:The Hackdorn
What about the Hack himself in the "serve of the week" describing Carltons 10K fine to Fev as a mere slap on the wrist and then a few paragraphs down stating that "meanwhile the WCE absolutley smashed Maston with a 2k fine" I'd say that is around 8K short of smashing the thug they drafted

Re:The Hackdorn
What would this award be without a nomination for everyone's favourite football "expert", Robert Walls? Last night he came up with a couple of pearlers.

Firstly, he said that St Kilda were top four material based on the fact that they lost on the weekend. Apparently they needed to be smashed to find out what was wrong with them because it was only round three so they had time to fix the problems.

Secondly, he marvelled at and in fact applauded how Chad Cornes got himself pumped up for Showdowns, moreso than for other games or even finals. Isn't that the same criticism that has been levelled at Freo over recent times, that the players only get themselves fired up for Derbies?

Staggering.

Re:The Hackdorn
Thanks to lemon, this simply must get the votes this week, and Woosh isn't even a journo - he's cutting out the middleman in Walls' own style.

jw: it's not the new players that are making errors it's the more experienced players.

reporter: so what are you going to do about the experienced players?

jw: so it's the experienced players making the mistakes is it?

reporter: that's what you just told us.

Re:The Hackdorn
Or, that priceless gem offered by Dense Cometti on Thursday night TV when previewing the derby, that the Dockers were the "Biggest joke in the AFL". Of course it just made Dennis look like the biggest joke in the AFL when Fremantle won and there were 7 other teams doing a touch worse than us by the end of the weekend.

So there we go; The nominations are -

Robert Walls, - for his gritty double standards,
John Worstfold, - This weeks wildcard, a cameo performance that shows he's spent far too much time with Peter Sumich, or,
Denise Cometti, - for being "The biggest joke in the AFL".

Ladies & Gentlemen, you may cast your votes now.

Didn't anyone actually read The Kim on Sunday?

These other pretenders didn't even come close.

I prefer to avoid The Kim's writings - I find they have a certain emetic effect.

Re:The Hackdorn
Sorry mate, I made no effort to remember it and I dunno how you find it online, I'm just not up for that...

"I can't remember any of it but that doesn't mean I don't know it was carp" pretty well sums it up.

Re:The Hackdorn
Fair enough, we know what you mean. The revised nominations then, are;

Robert Walls, - for his gritty double standards,
John Worstfold, - This weeks wildcard, a cameo performance that shows he's spent far too much time with Peter Sumich, or,
Denise Cometti, - for being "The biggest joke in the AFL",and
Kim Hagdorn, - Who in a valiant attempt to be included here, against some of the true doyens of journalistic sewerism, has written something so muckraking and ignorant that it cannot, unfortunately, be repeated.

Re:The Hackdorn
It was something along the lines of Warnock is a $500 000 a year player and Freo are going to get pick one in a trade to Melbourne for Knockers. And that the Wet Toast were going to get pick 2 and daniel rich.

Kim, Kim, Kim, there is still time to get in the melbourne comedy festival as comedy is what you write every week you goose.

Re:The Hackdorn
I don't often listen to PR but on Monday night tuned in to hear what Harvey had to say and he gave hackdorn & the sunday times a few back handers regarding their articles.
Barra defended Hackdorn but I missed the rest of what he said as I was too busy laughing when I heard Barich describe Hackdorn as a journalist
