Re:The Hackdorn
Barra muttered something about Hackdorn being one of their own and always has reliable sources and something about people shouldn't sling mud at him (referring to Harvey).
This was at the end of the interview when Barra or Hardie had asked whether the stories were true of Tarrant wanting to move back to Victoria. Harvey of course attacked the story in the Sunday Times without mentioning Hagdorns name.

Re:The Hackdorn
Hackdorn said he softened up that article and I quote "out of respect for the Fremantle Football Club".

Tosser.

Re:The Hackdorn
Its embarrassing to admit I spent an hour of my Monday night listening to this.

Harvey in the coaches interview mentioned that if the writer of the Sunday Times article had sources he should name them.

After the interview Barich identified the Haggis as the writer and said he would have him on because he deserved a right of reply.

Sounding a bit tanked the Haggis stated as above that he had watered down his original story out of respect for Fremantle and out of respect for Mark Harvey and that he couldn't name his sources because Fremantle wouldn't want him to name his sources.

My guess is he'd heard a rumour that someone wanted to go back to Victoria and he assumed it was Tarrant and missed the real story.

Re:The Hackdorn
Mark asks the Hag to name his source and he says freo wouldn't want him to. What a hack this Hag is. Assuming Hag hasn't just made it all up with his weazle buddies which is the most likely option, I'd like to know which person associated with Freo had the bad fortune to run into Hag.

Re:The Hackdorn
I think it is clear what happened here:

Tarrant had the misfortune of bumping into Hagdorn, and when he realised what a complete tool Haggers is he said "Sometimes I wish I was back in Victoria"

Who wouldn't have said the same thing?? Of course Hagdorn took it completely the wrong way.

Re:The Hackdorn
OK so sounds like Hackdorn wins it this week? I think we need to wrap this weeks up as these guys are sure to make more offerings this round.

Re:The Hackdorn
Not sure Hackdorn deserves it for this one.

Last year it was Pav leaving (what a scoop that was), then it was Warnock leaving (you know the next Judd - 500k per year) and now its Tarrant leaving.

There's no originality or thought in this. He just recycles the same story but picks a player name at random. I think he should have to do a little more than recycling rubbish to win an award.

But I'll go with the majority because its hard to pick the right tool some days.

Re:The Hackdorn
Don't you see whats going on? Look over there, Tarrant wants to go etc etc. Its all a case of distracting the masses and the other media hacks away from the fact that their precious blue bloods are capitulating. If the boot was on the other foot the media would be going for freo blood.

Re:The Hackdorn
Surely Cometti deserves a nomination for the "Hackdorn" for his effort last night when talking about the inclusions for Freo his comment was that Tarrant must have done enough last week to be reincluded.

Bit of a low blow there Den.

Re:The Hackdorn
You've got to hand it to Dennis, he really wants to win the Hackdorn. If he continues with these pearls of crap each week he will have to be the main contender for the end of year award.

Re:The Hackdorn
I didn't know Dennis Cometti was still alive. That's nice for the old dear. And the leisure suit industry.

Is it possible for Kim the Crazy Clown to mention Rhys Palmer without the inevitable suffix: "Rhys Palmer - a rare success for a Fremantle who have been spectacular failures at the draft and recruiting"?

(Never mind that the core of our team - Pavlich, McPharlin, Hasleby and Sandilands/Warnock - are all the products of some completely six-stitching drafting and recruiting).

Did anyone spot the headline by Courtney Walsh in the Australian
"Miracle man Cox" to play v Sydney. Cox seems a nice bloke but all the fawning over him this week makes me vomit.

According to the back page of The Pearly Obligation this week, The Sunday Slimes' sports writers were replaced by a badly trained lemur. Can't say I noticed the change.

Re:The Hackdorn
let me explain.

a couple of weeks ago i was in a cab that had 6pr sports talk blaring and i had no choice but to listen.

fanta pant hardie said tarrant can't be dropped to the wafl because he doesn't have the character to take that in his stride, buckle down, play a couple of good games and work his way back into the team.

thus (braddles the bitter, bitter man continued) freo must send him home to vic if they decide to drop him.

when questioned if this had been discussed/was common knowledge/told by tarrant to someone/in his contract - what??? fartie hardie said it's his own opinion based on meeting the man, in dickheards own words "once or twice".

tarrant is good looking, popular and on a shizen-load of cash. hardie is not. and he is bitter. and twisted.

which all adds up to hagdorn is a clown.

Re:The Hackdorn
In round 1, the Worst (via Walls and others) joined the chorus of nationwide media berating the Dockers for having x amount of players over the conveniently conjured cut-off age for youth, i.e 23 years of age. We had none, the Pies had 3/4 of their side under this age, apparently.

Back page of the Worst today, Armstrong, 24, is named as part of the "Department Of Youth".
More convenient conjurings from a bunch of utter conjurers.

The only section of The Worst where I haven't seen a photo of Big Cox is the Death Notices, although someone was grieving for his foot this week.

Re:The Hackdorn
I think this train really needs to keep rolling. We didn't get a winner last week, but the idea is still sound when there's so much material.

I made a mental note to catch up with Baz and he didn't disappoint today in his confrontation with Cap'n Starey-out.

For those that missed, it went like this.

So John, how's Brent?
Will he be back soon?
How's his mum and dad?
Barry looks in a lot of trouble doesn't he John?
What do you think Barry will get?
How's the team going John?

No mention of a loss on the weekend. Nothing that even looked like a hard question dressed up as serious concern for the state of their season.

Soft.

I bet Harvey gets the same treatment tomorrow.

So Mark, how is Solly?
