Re:Team for the Port Adelaide Game
According to Chris Scott Rhys is a "certain starter" against Port.

Read here

Chris Scott also said he is committed to our club and won't be looking to move to the Gold Coast.

Re:Team for the Port Adelaide Game
I reckon Murphs is about to make an impact at AFL level. The team has got to start kicking the ball to "not Pavlich" and at least Murphs will provide some good leads he must be sick of carving up the WAFL

Murphy, 'carving' up the WAFL? I think you're on the wrong thread.

Unless you meant, 'Murphy must be sick of serving up offal'. In which ... well, who could disagree?

Re:Team for the Port Adelaide Game
Ever since we started, there has been problems with not passing to some members of the team.
We need to get over this mates bit and go for the team bit. Some players will always look bad and criticized for not getting the ball, I suppose however they can get down and under.
I've probably only ever missed one or two games. It started back in Neesham's day and I could name the players but I don't feel like a civil war

Re:Team for the Port Adelaide Game
If someone else heard the interview, can you confirm please that Robert Shaw (on ABC SportsTalk) this morning said that Rhys Palmer would not be playing?

Re:Team for the Port Adelaide Game
Thats what I heard too. Which means someone gets the chop(and it won't be Browne). Its gonna rain - apparently - and our team is tallish so I think maybe a tall goes. Could be Spud but my guess is they want to play him - for whatever reasons. If they want to shop him at years end then he should be the full forward and not a decoy. Play Pav (is he fit?) off half back or in the centre with two or three other good markers running down the corridor and hone that 'keep the ball moving forward' game we did quite well last week.
We might have trouble keeping up with the power smalls and I don't see an answer but even though Little Johnson is a bit slow he is very competitive.

Re:Team for the Port Adelaide Game
I cringe at the prospect of Rhys Palmer lining up tomorrow against the flower power.....Surely someone at the club learned something from J.Lo...The list of footballers whose careers have been ended prematurely by cartilage degeneration is endless.... I can't understand why you would play the red hot favorite for the rising star on A dicky knee in rnd 17 of his first season when you're 14 on the table........The kid's 19, surely someone in the coaching department is mumbling about giving him the rest of the season off to get his knee right before the rigors of pre-season...Players like Palmer don't come around all the time and good football departments manage them with one eye on the next 10 to 12 years..

Re:Team for the Port Adelaide Game
I think we'll see Pav in the middle a lot like last week - mostly because our midfield is a bit depleted and missing some hardness (Solly). This should give Murphy plenty of opportunity to prove himself as a focus in attack and will decided his fate beyond this year.

On Rhys - surely the medical staff wouldn't have cleared him if there was any risk (as Swifty said, we are aware of the dangers associated with the injury and wouldn't risk a first-year ace).

Re:Team for the Port Adelaide Game
So... Would that be a Solanum tuberosum related knee injury?
