However, you are right, this is the first time I've been here but to hear all the whining over someone telling it like it is then I have to assume that you're all morons. Think about it, in any organisation if the status quo is never questioned there will never be change for the better. You gooses would be better served talking about the team and the game than whinging about me. When I read threads of this nature I feel so extremely grateful that in my seat at Subi I am surrounded by really friendly, avid Freo fans who, like myself might groan at some of our fumbles, etc but are always supportive of the players and, like grown-ups can cope with the ups and downs that come with being a footy fan.

If I had to endure the likes of SimonBlog every second week during the season I think I might become seriously depressed. I really can't understand the moronic mentality of fools for whom a good Saturday at the football becomes the ideal venue for venting their pent-up frustation of their banal, boring and futile existence.

My advice to SimonBlog and his ilk is take your F***ing ball and piss off home. We don't need you or want you.

Is delisting players that just aren't working - Shortmuir, Medders, Polak, Simmonds etc - just a malaise of procrastination?

Is the drafting of player with some decent experience just another clue that Freo aren't prepared to make a real tilt at finals footy over the next few years?

The thing about Dockerland, Simon, is that you need a massive grain of salt, a great sense of humour and a fair wack of wit to enjoy these pages. We all love our footy team, and want them to do well. We all feel the purple pulsing in our veins. Most of us feel ill at the thought of losing. I suppose we just go about our supporting with a good dose of pragmatism. Your welcome to your views Simon. I cannot believe that anybody who claims to 'have the passion' would EVER wish that any team would beat our boys. Wishing that the E-Girls flog us absolutely takes the cake, or would that be the coke?

The Dockers will win tomorrow (probably due to the fact that I didn't bet on them this week) and I'm sure you'll be right back on the bandwagon...... hope you feel good about it!

if you did spend any time here you would realise that there is a healthy dose of criticism on this board (see McManus, S any time in the last decade for examples). but there is a HUGE difference between criticism, on the one hand, and hoping for a loss to the Eagles on the other.

It's like the difference between a parent lamenting their child's school grades, and publicly hoping that their child gets run over by a bus. the second is just a terrible parent, that shouldn't be allowed to have kids, just like you are a terrible 'supporter' who shouldn't be allowed to follow the team.

but the Dockers are a broad church, so perhaps the Purple Jesus will stir someting in your soul this afternoon, and you find peace within yourself and the Purple Haze. Jeff be with you.
