Dear Bec,
It seems we bag Brendon and James every week - so I don't think it is just last week and this week. And there have been heaps of comments saying they are showing something so it evenly balanced.
In terms of us playing AFL games, I don't think that is a fair call. Assuming you are female, you are about as physically equipped to play AFL as I am. God chose to give me incredibly poor eyesight, the reflexes of a housebrick, speed off the mark like an escargot (even a dead one) and there is no analogy to describe my co-ordination.
As a kid growing up though I would have been willing to trade at least one out of two parts of my anatomy (the left one) and to become more like your gender so I could at least have a crack at playing AFL. Alas it was not to be.
But he did give me a brain (well he had to make up the terrible imbalance somehow), and to keep me around so I could watch and play footy (enthusiasticlly but badly ... the playing that is ... the wathcing I do quite well even with the eyesight) for a fair while now and I reckon its OK for mw to have a little say if I think a player is not grabbing the opportunity as tightly as I might have. I think this may be the unwritten secret for many of us -- we wish we were them ... though if I was Sean Mac the first thing I'd do is get a haircut.
So feel free to contradict me on my crap opinions and endless questions but please empathise with me about what God denied me.
Yours, Ralphie
PS Love your reports from the East
