Re:kerr - weeks
But it is Kerr, so he will probably get off. I mean if you can punch someone in the nuts and get off, I guess you think you can do anything you like.

Re:kerr - weeks
Boys, I know we're all coming off the high of yet another Derby win but I think we all know nothing's gonna happen to Kerr ...

If it was Farmer or Solomon we could talk about the number of weeks, but Kerr's more protected than the last pregnant panda.

Re:kerr - weeks
Well according to the rules:

Intentional, high, in play, medium impact, shocking record...

Freo player - 4 weeks (maybe 6 if you're Farmer)

Kerr - no case to answer

Re:kerr - weeks
The odd thing is, the reaction of the Ten commentators.

Yes I know I should mention those clowns but the comments alongs the lines of 'nothing reportable there' immediately after it happened was a bit much.

Kerr veered to his right and raised his elbow....how much more blatent can you get.

Goosage by name and nature it seems.

Re:kerr - weeks
How was Shaw's form? Immediately after the replay - "nup, nothing reportable there"!

I guess it wasn't a reportable offence to line up someone from 10m away with an elbow back when that loudmouthed leprechaun was running around, but then we were hanging people and trading slaves then too weren't we?

Re:kerr - weeks
Shaw got it spot on sadly. Kerr didn't hit Palmer in the face with his elbow. Had he done so we'd be talking weeks but the TV replay (which I had) clearly shows Kerr hitting Palmer in the chest, therefore not reportable. If he does get reported I'll gladly admit my mistake but from what I saw of the TV, Kerr doesn't have a case to answer.

Re:kerr - weeks
Have another look sportsfreak - he got him on the chin/lower face. Palmers head clearly gets snapped back from the impact.

Re:kerr - weeks
Yep just saw replay, clear head contact. Palmer gets up holding head. Pony boy made no attempt to go for the ball. Should get a week at least but as we all know won't get cited.

Re:kerr - weeks
I'd rather he didn't get reported. Then they'd have to play him next week and Sydney will give him a very hard time. I think he'll play most of the season- or miss a considerable number of games - with injuries. They'll do with him what they did with Judd - run him into the ground. Because he's the only one left in their side who's an A class midfielder.

Re:kerr - weeks
I'm not sue if I interpreted this right or not - but at the time Goss asked the question "What do you guys think about this?" (while the replay was showing)

Shaw replied he didn't think there was anything in it.

Jacko then said he thought the free kick was a bit soft too

Shaw then said "I meant he shouldn't get any weeks for it"

One was contemplating a suspension, One thought there shouldn't have been a free kick!! (You pick the ex-eagle unbias commentator)

Re:kerr - weeks
Agree with you dd. They'll lose to Sydney whether he plays or not. Better for him to play and wear himself out, rather than freshen up for the following game. Also it would be good for Rhys to say he didn't feel a thing, unlike Chick last year.

Re:kerr - weeks
I was at the game and was curious about an event that happened once the Eagles drew within 5 points of us. Kerr got the ball on the half back flank and tried to blind turn around Pav, the ball came loose and the Eagles continued with the ball into their forward 50.

Kerr was on the ground and Pav was standing over him. He reached down and grabbed Kerr by the guernsey and proceeded to pull him up before pushing him back down onto the turf again and again.

I must admit I was a little surprised but clearly now see that our Captain obviously didn't approve of Daniels attack on Palmer and let him know about it. Good to see Pav!
