You've overlooked one of my (perhaps the) all time favorite from the Demo Derby. That is Troy "Bickie" Cook taking out Mitchell "Mr Copybook" White. Watch it again...and again...

My memory is fading but I remember a young winston Abraham Playing wing. Must of been first couple of years. But he would grab the ball out the centre run to about 50-55 out and bang hit the goals just about everytime. Until he got his leg broken in some family incedent he was never the same. I also remember him playing in one of those early Im trying to forget Derbys. He was the only guy standing up in the midfield. He was trying his gutz out I think he waqs on woosha. Hed grab the ball on the wing or centre and bang 60 - 65 into the forward line unfortunately in those days against the eagles our forward lines didnt standup.

Not a bad list snake2.

Jess Sinclairs bump on Woosa Worsfold was a pretty good moment too (its the day I became a Freo fan).

One of the best, a win over Geelong at Subi, 1999 I think, Bamford was running straight through the centre of the ground, had a few bounces thought no one was around him and Clement snuck up behind him and laid the best tackle ive ever seen, dragged him right down to the grund.

Geez I miss that fella!

It's outrageous that Johnny Hutton's 8 goals against the Swans hasn't cracked a mention, once again the helmet has prevented him from getting the accolades he deserves.

An equally great moment was the bump Koopsy delivered last year which had Heath Black on all fours vomiting the contents of his stomach onto the Optus Oval turf. It's no coincidence that Pavlich re-signed a couple of weeks later.

Some of mine revolve around Winston:

1. vs Carlton @ subiaco. Winnie gets the ball wide on a wing. He can already smell a goal. he sees Fraser Brown in front of him, takes him on, BURNS him for pace, and casually finishes it off with a major.

2. vs Melbourne @ the WACA. he takes THAT hang in the goalsquare and i simultaneously spit out and choke on two different halves of my hot dog.

3. vs Doggies @ Princes Park. Winnie uses his 'Get out of Jail-free' card. with seconds left in the match, he takes the ball. Where is he? wide on the wing. He launches a bomb 90m out; somehow it dribbles thru and the dockers get up.

Memories smemories lets not bring up the past where the memories are only mediocre. I reckon will all get the best memory in our a short existence by making the eight this year.

That's a bit rich for a bloke who's favourite past time is typing in the names of old WAFL players for no apparent reason.

Shane, lets not forget the WAFL is still a major nursery for the AFL players, it would be a crime not to hold such a great competition in anything other than high esteem.
As for my random mention of names such as Onions (thank u Lemon), Northcott, Duda, Ollie Loo, Hermann Van Der Beek, well it just gives me a tingle down my spine every time i think i the days when i used to slide down that massive bank at Leederville oval. Ah yes they are memories but what nostaglia. All i'm saying is it a bit soon for Docker memories, the future should bring enough memories to last us a lifetime.
Becu,Dikioli, Smeath, Dalton Gooding, whoops there i go again.

I have many fond memoroies of Freo, problem is people generally have to remind me of them the next day.

Dancing solo around my abode (whilst attempting some home improvements) after our first derby win is the standout.

Fitzroy's last game was an indication of what we are about. The winning margin meant nothing.

Tony Dragun.

Clive kicking seven in the demo derby, running off Slapovich like a thoroughbred showing an old clysdale how to run and nailing it home,

Medhurst marking in the midst of 4 taller Collingwobbles players

Shaun standing up and nailing it home after being polaxed by Wirrupunda

Carr blanketing Cousins and kicking three of his own

and of course Kickett showing Gardiner how you really punch

honourable mention, Dirty Bird Phil Matera getting cleaned up by the umpire, the umpire coming back on, and Matera deciding he's had enough

gloved one you're catching the nostalgia bug, (Tony Dragun) funny way to spell it? Feel free to have memories but here are my predicted memories for 2003 that i won't lock in the vault.
1)Winning 9 home games
2) Farmer to kick 9 in one game and 2 will be freaks
3) We beat Essendon over east (i think we play them there)
4) Making the finals
5) Several highlights in our first finals appearance but i haven't spoke to Nostradameus (how'd spell that)yet, but will update you later in the year.
Yours Truly Bill Valli, geez there i go again.
PS: For a real good film about memories see Bladerunner.

Spelling's spot on scoob. A bearded dud if there ever was one.

My fav Freo (and WAFL) memories are from watching the game on the hill down the PMH end of Subi instead of the sanitised mini-MCG we have to endure now.

What, are our legs painted on?

Shane Sheridan.

If you take that attitude scooby you end up with a club like the Eagles where they have to wheel out Ernie Dingo to remind the supporters that more has happened in the history of the club than just a couple of premierships.

When Jeff Farmer kicks 9 goals in a Round 1 they're not going to stick in your mind any more because Fremantle make the finals 5 months later. You don't have to carry an encyclopedia of the entire year around in your head, just the choice cuts. It's like a Scott Chisholm run out of defence. Overall the result might have been ordinary after he coughed it up in the centre of the ground but he would have taken a screamer in the pocket, sold the dummy to the man on the mark, beaten six or seven blokes with a mix of blind turns and blistering pace, hand passed to himself over the top of another opposition player before finally stubbing his toe and kicking the ball to no one. 90% of what he did magnificent, it was just the important 10% that went wrong. Look at James Clement - he laid three tackles in his entire career at Fremantle and he's talked about like he was just shy of a Brownlow.

If you don't think the tape of that first win in 12 months against Hawthorn in 2001 is worth having a look at every now and then you may as will dig yourself a hole the back yard, hop in and get the missus to fill it in because you're already dead (or possibly a Hawthorn supporter).
