Should be interesting to see how the Wiz shapes up against his old club...and how they shape up against him...
Looking forward to an interesting game
Go Dockers!!

They have a few injuries including White from the last game which is good. Can't see them being to much of a problem. They have had wins against teams which are pretty ordinary which the Dockers are not.

Everytime we play the Dee's I reckon we will beat them, yet somehow it never works out that way. Im a bit worried about this one. If the Wiz gets going we will win.

"Can't see them being to much of a problem. They have had wins against teams which are pretty ordinary which the Dockers are not."
Wait a second we have beaten no one? Lets take a look at this, you have beaten 14th placed St. Kilda, 12th placed Richmond, and 6th placed Essendon. The demons have beaten 4th placed Port, 7th placed West Coast, 8th placed Hawthorn, 14th placed St. Kilda and 15th placed Bulldogs. West Coast and Hawthorn have both played and beaten you.
Now tell me how you figure we have beaten teams that are ordinary?
As for the game I'd say Whelan will get Farmer to start off with, if Farmer gets on top then it could be Funcke (Funcke stitched Farmer up while playing for Richmond when Farmer was at Melbourne). The key with Wiz is to get to him, once you have him worried he tends to forget about getting the footy.
With the home ground advantage and our injury worries I think the Dockers will winin a close one, but the worst thing you could do is write the Demons off.

do you mean write them off like all your supporters did during the Wizard cup matches ?

The reason the Wizard Cup was a write off is that during one game we where missing 10 of our best 18, and in another we where missing 12. 3 rookies where in the side (that are now running around for the Sandringham 2nd's) Miller and Armstrong where given trials. White was rested while Rookie's Jamar and Thompson did the ruck work. All the injured/suspended players (bar Rigoni) where going to be back for round 1. Would you like me to go on?

Frank, go back to your demonology board and check some of the posts. "Sack Daniher now" was a very popular one with the majority in favour and how you we're all depressed about the coming season.

What your saying is you've turned this from my point of view of the game, giving honest thoughts on who I thought would play on Farmer, and why saying we have beaten "average" teams is a false statement, into something completely unrelated about a website I don't use. I thought Docker supporters would be interested in some serious conversation regarding the game... I was wrong.

How's this for serious conversation:
I hope to hell The Anvil or someone cleans up Schwarz - never forgotten his utter disdain for the Dockers on the Footy Show that night.
Best thing Melbourne's got going for it is it's song.

I don't believe anyone here is under estamating Melbourne, you were the one who bought it up !I was merely pointing out what the majority of your supporters were saying at the beginning of this season.
Back to the game,we'll kick your butt !!

spencer - you should try to get hold of gregs predication after round two or three. "get on the dee's as they are dead certs for the spoon" or something to that effect. unfortunately for greg i did back them to win the spoon and off course they haven't dropped a game since. to reverse this i have backed them (the dee's) to beat the dockers this week. i have also backed farmer to kick less than five goals. i have faith in this system although it does hurt the pocket. i will also take this opportunity to apolgise to anyone i have hurt or indeed offended over the last two days (i love you bec) and promise to take more care in what i say.

Not really Frank it's just interesting that you are confident and bubbly about your team where many of your flock weren't 7 weeks ago. But if you don't post there then fair enough.
You want to talk about the game. We'll your lot have surprised me so far as I thought you maybe candidates for the spoon and the fact that you've won five games means you won't be taken lightly.
From what I've seen Neitz has been a bit of a revelation so far this season, so I'd expect Pavlich may get him - that would be worth seeing and is a key to the outcome of the game.
Farmer has been improving steadily - his best game for mine last week - and he's getting closer to kicking a bag although he has been spending some time in the midfield so this reduces his chances.
We've been good at home this season and if we can close down or limit the influence of midfielders like Yze & Pav does a job on Neitz then I think we can win comfortably.
Going home now - see you tomorrow.

No worries Dutchey, I wasn't saying you where underestimating us, I was actually only saying it would be the worst thing you could do, simple misunderstanding, which is my fault for saying it. (I was thinking more of round 1 when many Hawks supporters were thinking of it as an easy game, etc) And hey, we underestimated St. Kilda last week, and it almost cost us the game!

Gupta, my name isn't actually Frank, could be another poster your thinking of, or just a generic name for supporters for other teams? The last thing I would be is confident of a game in WA, which is why I have tipped Freo, to win we would have to play near our best footy, and unfortunately we aren’t playing good footy at the moment. Anyways I’ll leave your board alone now, good luck (but not too much) for Saturday, I hope Snake, Farmer, Norrish… all the ex Melbourne boys, play well. (Is T. Longmuir definitely out with injury?)
