The scandalous report on Dean Solomon has been thrown out after a quick glance and a "you've got to be kidding" from the match review panel. Solomon was reported for striking Essendon's Angus Monfries when he laid a perfectly, if not slightly weak, tackle on Sunday but the tribunal cleared him, declaring the issue too soft even for them to get involved. Solomon will now be free to play in the Derby. The AFL is yet to comment on whether they will give the goal back that resulted from the report.
