The most prolific Aboriginal forward ever to play the game has come under investigation in what appears to be a Joe McCarthy style campaign against the Fremantle Dockers and Jeff Farmer. Farmer was involved in an incident which saw him make physical contact with Graham Johncock in the second quarter (earlier he had made emotional contact when the two discussed stories of love and love lost). An fairly innocuous incident by most people's standards, the match review panel decided it was worth the slow motion and zoom treatment that they used to do him in for eyebrow scratching last year but, even with the help of Nasa technology, couldn't fit Farmer up for a suspension.

A restrained and extremely fit looking Paul Hasleby refused to be drawn into calling the tribunal a farce but was impressed with the tackle of his team mates...or something to that effect.
