It's hard to believe it but the 120Y of the Fremantle footy club has finally packed it in. Matthew Carr, best known as the brother of Josh and arch nemesis of rangas everywhere, has called it a day, announcing his retirement from football. After a decade in the game, his body has packed it in, bringing and end to a 134 game career and ending the wave of terror that he and his brother have spread througout football grounds all over Australia.

Partaking in a record breaking losing streaks for St Kilda, Carr arrived at Fremantle partake in a record losing streak for the Dockers. Hanging around in the centre, talking grabs became his staple during the Damian Drum days before Chris Connolly put him to work making highly fancied midfielders cry a role in which many believe would have won him the Brownlow Medal in 2003 where it not for the irresistible temptation of Cameron Ling's head to his fist.

His brother joined him in 2005 where the Carr Brothers became synonymous with pain. Many pundits believe the two are what caused Ben Cousins to hit the drugs, Chris Judd to flee back to Melbourne along with many early retirements.

With Matthew's retirement, there is growing concern that that Josh Carr won't have anyone to watch his back. Not so much for Josh but the opposition players, when he has to finish things off before turning his back.
