Josh Carr has been cleared of striking Daniel Chick in an incident which is sure to have bigger repercussions on the West Coast Eagles and their ever growing record of dishonesty. Daniel Chick made a claim that he'd been struck by Josh Carr in the first quarter and had him hauled before the AFL tribunal despite a complete lack of any evidence.

He sat before the tribunal and told them that he had felt a blow to the ribs and as he turned around, he saw Josh Carr running away. He claimed to have an injury which, although he had not told the medical department about, was being treated with ice to ease the bruising.

Josh Carr declared that he had no recollection of the alleged incident and, depsite getting in lots of fights with others during the game, wasn't even near Chick.

Chick came unstuck when Fremantle produced evidence that he was lying. Chick had claimed the injury forced him off the ground for treatment. Fremantle had video evidence that Chick had been pulled from the ground, prior to when he claimed the strike took place and Josh Carr was nowhere near him before he left the ground nor after he returned to it.

The tribunal convened for a total of 10 seconds before declaring that Josh Car had no case to answer.
