Headland Has Book Thrown At Him | Print |

It's getting hard to believe but the AFL tribunal has come down on yet another Fremantle player with an unnecessarily tough sentence for an event with little evidence, some big assuptions and a lot of media hype.

Des Headland has been charged twice for hitting West Coast Eagle, Adam Selwood, in the third quarter on Saturday night and landed with a 5 week penalty if he pleads guilty now and pretends the whole thing never happened.

Headland expected to challenged the result and take his case to the tribunal where he's likely to explain the reasons for losing his temper and bring more disgrace to the West Coast Eagles filth machine that seems determined to drag the AFL down to it's level.

If the tribunal follow their previous form with Fremantle players Michael Johnson and Jeff Farmer, Headland will be given a 6 week suspension.

He was also fined $900 for wrestling. No Eagles were charged.
