Hay Bail Out | Print |
Written by Shane Richmond

The race for Jonathan Hay is over. Cameron Schwab has announced that Fremantle will not be pursuing a trade for Hay any more after they realised the Hawks were off their rockers with what they thought was a fair trade deal.

Sources close to the club tell us that the Hawks were originally asking for Fremantle to handover mining rights to the North West Shelf, and a round 1 draft pick in exchange for Hay but the Dockers were able to talk them down to the Kalgoorlie Super Pit and Ryley Dunn. However, Fremantle rate Dunn quite highly and weren't prepared to do the deal.
