Hasleby Out for Season | Print |
Written by Shane Richmond

The season is over for Paul Hasleby. The Fremantle champion has ruled himself out for 2006, resigning himself to the fact that he'll have to watch his mates collecting the Premiership Cup without him.

Struggling all season with a back related, stomach acquainted groin injury, Hasleby has been a week to week proposition but, even with an elephant dose of tranquillisers pumping through his stocky frame, he found it difficult to get about Football Park on the weekend.

As a result, he'll hang up the boots for 2006, let the doctors have a fiddle about with him during the week and hopefully be back to win his Brownlow medal in 2007.
