If you’re standing up then you really need to grab a seat before reading on because you may pass out with excitement. Ok we’ve warned you so Dockerland has now put itself in the clear and will not be liable for any injuries sustained through the jumping up and down upon hearing the following news or the falling off the chair. The Dockerland Rick Hart VIP Night is back for 2008 and it’s back bigger and better than ever before. If you attended last year then you know how good it was and topping it will be a massive effort! Rick Hart has put in an Aaron Sandilands against Geelong type effort.

Yep we’re thrilled to say you read it correctly. We thought the invitation wasn’t going to eventuate this year but earlier today the Dockerland phone rang. On the other end was Tricky Rick Hart and he said us, “Docker fans have been doing it tough so round up the crew and come in for a VIP night.” He is yet again extending the hand of generosity to all Dockerlanders.

After last year where it was wall to wall of unbelievable bargains, it’s hard to see how they’re going to top it but when Rick Hart says, “better than ever” you better believe it. Plasmas, LCD’s, DVD Recorders, Fridges and any other appliance you can think of will be virtually flying out the door.

The plasma screen I bought at last year’s Dockerland VIP night was at that good a price I stopped in at a Cash Converters type store on the way home and said to the bloke running the shop, “What price for this plasma, out of curiosity?” He gave me a figure three times what I just paid! The poor guy was, in more ways than one, a broken man when I told him what I paid. I had the Hart to tell him but didn’t have the heart to tell him to go and have a look at the fridge, microwave and DVD Recorder in the back of the Dockerland Kingswood.

I went past that same shop a couple of days later to find the windows boarded up and the front doors padlocked with a sign painted saying “Damn you Rick Hart and you’re amazing unbeatable bargains.”

So whatever you’re doing on Thursday the 29th of May you best be cancelling it. Take Rick Hart up on his offer and come down to either the O’Connor or Osborne Park stores and grab yourself a super bargain.

While Rick Hart might do things with Harvs, he doesn’t do things in halves. When he puts on a bargain bonanza type shindig he covers every angle. He’s inviting us all down to either store for the night and apart from the deals he’s putting together which you can take advantage of he’s putting on a fine spread of refreshments as well.

How good is all that? I mean that is Five Star Fremantle Docker Sponsor service for the fans. You won’t get that kind of treatment at Eagleland! They have a VIP night and you get shoved in a room, force fed insurance policies, made learn an advertising cheer squad chant and given an SGIO sign to hold up at the next Eagles loss!

So what you need to do is first clear your calendars on Thursday night 29th May from 5pm. You then need to download the Rick Hart VIP night Invitation and RSVP by phone or email contained in the invitation. Print off the invitation because you will need it as proof on the night that you’re a Dockerlander and lastly load up and get to Rick Hart O’Connor or Osborne Park on that Thursday night.

Download the invitation on the link below and thanks to Rick Hart we’ll catch up, have a yack, have a snack, have a drink and pick up a bargain on the 29th May. See you lot in Hartland.

To put it into context we were looking for a dishwasher last year and went into a Rick Hart store in the city that were having a sale. I asked the sales guy if I shouild buy one now or wait for the VIP night and he said without doubt wait for the VIP night as you can't beat the prices you get.

We waited and saved big bucks - even on the sale price at the city store.

We'll be back this year for DVD recorder after our two year old used our old DVD as a toaster. (I can't thank her enough for the chance to get an upgrade).

I have been waiting with excitement for a Rick Hart store to open in the south west with the hope they would have these nights. We now have a Bunbury store but no VIP night.

Those Dockerlanders that have a bit of inside information may be able to suggest to the ever generous Rick in having a night down this way.

I have no doubt it will be a very busy night.

2113freo, we'll mention it to the great man for you and see what he can do. But let me tell you the trip up from Bunbury would be well worth the, what is it now.... $3 a litre in fuel? What you would save at the Rick Hart VIP night tonight would push your petrol back to the good old days when we thought 60 cents a litre was expensive.

MooMan, Shipping costs? With the Rick Hart savings it would be like you're getting paid to have it sent to you!

You've still got time to RSVP to attend tonight so get cracking. Even if you're not purchasing it’s well worth the visit just to see and marvel at the tiny price tags!

Also like Choco Williams said, "If you think you can do game analysis these days without a Rick Hart Plasma panel, you're kidding yourself."

(I'm not 100% sure he said that but you could tell that's what he meant.)

I don't suppose there will be a Dangler Dealer at O'Connor tonight?

Just got back from the Osborne Park shop - what a sale! I noticed that the mother-in-law was losing a bit of weight lately - and knowing that the chain saw was all sharp and ready to go - I picked up a good chest freezer for next to nothing. She's a big 'un, but my new Fisher and Paykel should hold her and keep the pension checks flowing for years!

Thanks Rick!

We bought audio gear for us and a sandwich maker for a gift - niece got engaged.

Saved a good 10-15%.

Bought the vacuum, but they were all out of poor sods.

I am now the proud owner of a pigeon-pair fridge & freezer, and had to be restrained from buying a new 46" LCD and a microwave oven.

Thanks to the helpful staff down at the O'Connor store.
