What hurt the hip pockets of Dockerlanders was a mere 2 points. The combinations of Freo to make the +15.5 point line and Port Adelaide to win and make their line were jumped on for plenty. Dockerlanders threw thousands on the combos but the 17 loss by Fremantle left the money in the Dockerland bag. However, Port Adelaide’s generous odds on them winning were snapped up so punters didn’t lose the lot.
Below are the successful betting options that were available for the weekend just gone which was week five round one. If you threw a Dockerland dollar on any of the bets below then you’ll have some bullets in your Greyhounds WA Punting Account to fire off in week six.

The pressure and weight of expectations was too much for previous leader Dadchamp as he knocked off the lot on the Bulldogs draw against the Tigers. In a round that saw big ladder movements, we now have a new leader, Moo Man. He shot to the front and kicked clear on the turn with two nice wins on the Hawkers and Kangas. $2,500 in the account and just short of a $1500 lead, Moo Man will be hard to reel in. That man trying to do the reeling in is none other than punter Chopper. The Chopper has climbed into second place with a monkey on the Port Adelaide Power to win over the West Coast Gornskis. With almost $1200 to throw at the final round, no doubt Chopper has Moo Man in his sights. (Moo Man, if this bloke in second has a last name Read then I’d fold, lay down and tank the final round if I were you.) Rounding out the top three after five weeks is punter Dropkick. It seems Dropkick is appropriately named as he or she has disgracefully sold Fremantle out and unloaded almost $650 on the Crows to beat Fremantle. Dropkick you need to be taken out the back of the clubrooms and given a belting. Betting like that leaves a sour taste in the mouths of all Dockerlanders and betting like that will come back to bite you in the arse. But then again, you’ve got $840 in your account and I haven’t got a crumpet so who is the clown here I wonder!
So anyway that’s the top three after the fifth week. If you’re not one of the above three then click on over and run your eyes over where you sit on the ladder. Log on to Greyhounds WA Dockerland Punting Competition to view.

What can you do other than scratch your head and hope? Freo we’re horrific in the first half and outstanding in the second. Despite that arrogant Andrew McLeod’s cheap shot claim that they took the foot off the pedal, Fremantle actually knuckled down and performed in the second half to a level of which would win plenty of games if applied over four quarters. If McLeod wants to see what taking your foot off the pedal is then he should watch what Port Adelaide did in the final 15 minutes of the last quarter against the Eagles.
