Gilmore Coming Back For More | Print |
Written by Shane Richmond

Daniel Gilmore's flirtation with South Australia has come to an end. After threatening to head east and try and get a game with Port Adelaide, Gilmore has come to his senses and re-signed with the Dockers. Gilmore spent most of the season playing for South Fremantle, where he was very popular with the locals. He only managed 2 games for the Dockers though, after taking over from Troy Longmuir as the most popular player in the grand stand on match days. He'll be trying to improve on that position over the next 2 years at Fremantle.

Meanwhile, after helping Ken Judge squeeze a gazillion dollars out of the Eagles, getting Jonathan Hay close to half a million a season at Hawthorn and Daniel Gilmore his two year contract at the Dockers, Fremantle power broker Peter Christie is headed to the UN where he will be invited to sort out the differences between Iraqi insurgents and the allied forces - or at least see how much money he can screw out of the Yanks.
