 | Another scratch match, another shellacking dished out. That's the ho hum routine of Fremantle this year as they carve up lesser sides in the NAB Challenge. Fremantle dominated Adelaide in Adelaide, in the Qualifying Final Re-match. The Dockers controlled the fancied Crows midfield and let their new forward line structure hit it's stride as the perfect preparation for crushing the other Adelaide side in a couple of weeks time. | Fremantle started quietly but it didn't take long for the Tarrant - Pavlich combination to click and, in a matter of minutes, the two had put on three goals with Tarrant taking a hang and forcing defenders all over the country to start considering early retirement. From that point on it was all Fremantle. Aaron Sandilands was dominating in the ruck, not only winning the taps but roving his own taps, and dropping down to the goal square where he spent the day taking marks and practicing his goal kicking. It was a good thing he did take so many marks because he appeared to need the practice. His complete control of the ruck saw the Dockers midfielder join in the party with Josh Carr and Paul Hasleby working their magic to dominate the the centre clearances. Most who ventured through the centre made sure that they left the indent of their shoulder and/or hip on at least one body part of each Adelaide player. Unfortunately Matthew Carr left his indent on Nathan Bassett and was reported for his trouble. The defenders took their game out of second gear this week, harassing and physically intimidating the Crows midfielders and what passes for their forward line, keeping them to just 3 goals for most of the game. David Mundy was strong in the air and One Melee Dodd did his best to force a change of nick name. The highlight of the night came from AAMI Stadium specialist, Brett Peake. Dodging around half a dozen Crows players, he made it though and into some space, had a bounce, had another one, another one, then one more before throwing in a blind turn and slotting it through from what his Dad is now telling people was 72 metres out. Fremantle return to Perth for a couple of weeks now until the start of the season. Round one, on March 31st, will see them take on the other South Australian side in what most are predicting will be a percentage boosting win. | Scores | | | | | | Adelaide | 1.3 | 2.10 | 3.12 | 7.16 | 58 | | Fremantle | 4.3 | 5.7 | 8.9 | 12.11 | 83 | | | Goals | | | | | Fremantle | | | | Tarrant | 4 | | | Gilmore | 2 | | | Pavlich | 1 | | | Sandilands | 1 | | | Peake | 1 | | | Gilmore | 1 | | | Murphy | 1 | | | Solomon | 1 | | | Browne | 1 | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Pt Adelaide | | | | Bode | 2 | | | Hudson | 1 | | | Burton | 1 | | | Johncock | 1 | | | McLeod | 1 | | | Bock | 1 | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Guv'ner Medal Votes | | | | Aaron Sandilands | 3 | | Chris Tarrant | 2 | | Matthew Pavlich | 1 | | |
