The second round of the Greyhounds WA dockerland Punting Competition has been run and won. Congratulations go to dockerland Punter Freddo who has claimed the magnificent big night out at Greyhounds WA by grabbing top spot with a grand total of over $3500 after a very nice bet on the Bulldogs to beat the Lions by less than 40 points in the final week.

In second place came punter Weegiedock who must have been fairly keen on his or her chances after unloading on and getting aboard the Essendon wagon on Friday night. $800 on the bombers to knock off the Eagles by under 40 points saw Weegiedocks account jump to $2400 but unfortunately fell $1000 short of the top prize.

Running into third place was Punter Plugger. He cleaned up on Freo?s win over the Tiges but he was another who fell short of getting into top spot.

It?s good to see many of the dockerland Punting Ladies doing very well in the second round. MaggieR in 4th place gave the round a shake with an excellent $1200, while Heather scraped into the top ten, finishing in 9th with a figure just short of $600. The ever consistent Katie_Belle will win a round soon as she again put in a super second round, while FreoMary showed signs she is on the up with a nice 15th placed effort. (Apologies to any ladies that I may have overlooked.)

But all accolades have to go to Freddo. It was a sensational effort and he played it beautifully. It was a very well executed final week of betting and its paid enormous dividends.

Freddo you have now won the outstanding Big Night Out at Greyhounds WA which will see yourself and partner dining at the world class, multi award winning Checkers Restaurant at Cannignton Greyhounds. The night will include dinner and drinks for two, race books, free entry and on course parking. Wining, Dining, Dancing, Punting and Winning, it?s a fantastic night.

So that wraps up the second round of the Greyhounds WA dockerland Punting Competition. There is no time to snooze though because the third round gets underway this weekend and will go from then until the end of round 17 where then another punter will be crowned champion and be awarded the same Greyhounds WA spoils.
