Well it’s been a very long time coming. After 14 attempts without drawing inside of box four, the Dockerland Racing Syndicate’s Lil’ Dune Buggy has finally landed a decent draw and will be putting her best paw forward tonight at Mandurah when she contests the 647 metre race on the card. We can only hope that the paw she puts forward is good enough to clip her rivals and open the Dockerland Racing Syndicate account rewarding her loyal followers.
At 8.11pm the Dockerland Racing Syndicate’s Lil’ Dune Buggy will step from the prized box one and hopefully give
 her long suffering supporters something to cheer about. It’s been a tough road with the Dune Buggy with injuries, a terrible run of box draws and luckless racing but you get the feeling, or rather the hope, that it’s about to all change.While it’s been very difficult going you have to say she’s got a huge heart because, despite not winning a race for the syndicate as yet, she has managed to collect a cheque in eight of her fourteen starts for us so far.
It’s not going to be an easy assignment but she’s up to the mark with these. Forever Leaning in box 7 will be the favourite and possibly go around close to red odds but that doesn’t scare the Dune Buggy. Ty Ringer in box four should also give a very good account of itself as it too has drawn a better than its recent run of drawing boxes 5 – 8 in 14 of its last 16 starts. It has run a 37.40 a couple of times and that time will go close to taking this race out. Possibly Bana in box 3 or the favourite Forever Leaning in box 7 appear the early leaders. Hopefully for us, it’s not Forever Leaning.
Lil Dune Buggy should sit up in the first few and hopefully hold her position on the fence just in behind the front runners. If Forever Leaning doesn’t lead then the Dune Buggy should at some stage appear the winner and it will be interesting to see if she can outstay the likes of Tough Negotiator, Ty Ringer and the just mentioned Forever Leaning.
Dockerland is tipping a big couple of days starting tonight at Mandurah and finishing tomorrow night at Subiaco Oval. Bugger it; I’m throwing a few oxford scholars on the double…... The Dune Buggy to win tonight at what should be around $8 onto Freo tomorrow night to knock over the Cats at $6.00. 47/1…. I like those odds! Who is with me? “Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?”
All will be revealed in about 37.40 seconds after 8.11pm tonight.

Good luck to the Dockerland Racing Syndicate Members tonight with Lil' Dune Buggy running down at Greyhounds WA Mandurah. We've been doing it extremely tough so we're due for a change of luck. We have drawn box one with her for the first time and the race isn't the hottest one we've ever been in so she is some sort of chance, if at reasonable odds. Lil’ Dune Buggy Mandurah Greyhounds Tonight Race 4 No.1 8.11pm * It seems Bigpond emails are having trouble getting through again. I dont know where the problem lies but those Dockerland syndicate members who have Bigpond email addresses, you may not be receiving email as many of the ones sent are bouncing back a day or two later. The problem is beyond our control. |

Here we are just doing our best to innocently bring this wholesome family oriented sport of greyhound racing to all Dockerlanders and you go and turn it in to something in the gutter. We’re trying to bring families together through gambling as the saying goes, “A family that gambles together.... gambles together” or something like that.
And by the way, I'm tipping the Dune Buggy is a better chance than you on the weekend Lemon. Oh and another by the way, while you're in the gutter can you look around for my betting tickets, I think I threw a winning one away down there. It was just habit. Big each way chance is the Dune Buggy tonight. |
