Don't Forget To Vote | Print |

All the sugar has been poured into the petrol tanks, there are a dozen or so horses rotting in Forrestdale without heads and the water level in Fremantle harbour has rised a couple of inches thanks to unprecedented sales of concrete shoes. That's right, we're almost at the end of the election campaign and if you haven't voted yet, you probably should.

Les Everett's job is on the line (it was officially declared a job after the new workplace relations laws ruled that getting half a Scotch Finger Biscuit twice a month exceeded the requirements for full time employment) and he will have to face down seven of Fremantle's finest if he wants to be re-elected to a third term.*

If you're not sure who to vote for and you're going into a panic, rest easy. With dockerland's candidate profiles and the WA Electoral Commission's online voting it couldn't be easy to engage in democracy.

This year, dockerland was lucky enough to have the services of Steve Allen at our disposal, who conducted interviews with 7 of the 8 candidates. Each candidate was grilled by Steve for several hours so discerning dockerland readers (and listeners) would be able to make a more informed choice.

Click on the photo of each of the candidates below to get their full profile, including the full interview as well as the edited answers for people who want to cut straight to the important stuff like - did they boo Chris Judd?

Votes must be in by 10am on Thursday 30 November and the winner will be announced at the members meeting on Thursday afternoon.

* well, six of Fremantle finest. We're lead to believe Docker Dave thought he was filling out an application for a boat loan when he nominated.
