In what appears an ironic outcome from the Match Review Panel, Steven Dodd has been given a week's suspension for tripping. Ironic because the match review panel must have been tripping their faces off on some sort of chemical induced hallucination if they think they had any business even looking at the incident in the first place.

Dodd caught Jack Riewoldth by the ankle as he fought for the football, Riewoldt threw himself into the air to try and earn another free kick for Richmond (he need only have asked for one) and the ridicuouls system did the rest.

Due to a previous incident where he was judged to have stepped on someone's foot, Dodd's carry over points mean that pleading guilty won't do him any good, so Fremantle are expected to challenge the case along side Barry Hall who is up for king hitting an Eagle.
