Unfortunately September has been a bit of a holiday month for us Freo fans in recent times as our club has had more important things to take care of such as sacking Farmers and reviewing logos, names and songs. But this September, unlike what the review will result in, it’s all about to change, or I should say we hope it’s about to change. We’re hoping Dockerland fans will have a September victory this Thursday night at Greyhounds WA Mandurah when the Dockerland Racing Syndicate lines up their inform chaser Lagoon Twin, in the highly prestigious and lucrative Snap Printing mixed country grade 4/5 event.

After last week’s scintillating win its been widely suggested that the flood gates are on the verge of bursting open and the Lagoon Twin wagon has turned into a juggernaut. With one win a row the Dockerland Racing syndicate have gone from the depths of despair to experiencing the dizzy highs as they reached the pinnacle of greyhound racing in WA, a country graded win on a Thursday night with the stake money being a bag of kibble.

Relive the magic moment as Lagoon Twin jumps out of box 7, forcing her way to the lead and then holding off any would be challenger.

This Thursday night several busses have been hired to transport the Dockerland syndicate to Mandurah and extra trains have been put on the new Perth to Mandurah rail on to cater for the crowds flocking to the seaside suburb for the big Docker race.

Dockerland’s Lagoon Twin has been unfortunately pushed up half a grade on her one win so she will be fighting above of her division. However it wouldn’t surprise me to see her resemble Josh Carr and do a number on them like he did to Cousins and Kerr in that unforgettable Derby.

Lagoon Twin comes up in race six on the card having drawn box five. The draw, like the grade rise, has done her no favours but she is a determined and tenacious little sprinter so she will be doing her best to overcome those hurdles. There is pace in boxes 2,3 and 7 so she will have to work to get through. Number seven, Blualla is dropping in class so it appears the dog to beat and Noisy Import looks the equal leader.

How about a strike rate of 3 starts for Dockerland for 2 wins and a place? Shades of Showground Larry in this one, it never stops trying. Just blew them away again at Mandurah.
