Dockers Mix it Up for Scratch Match | Print |

Fremantle have sent a defiant message to the AFL and their hanging court this week, by naming suspended players Jeff Farmer and Michael Johnson in the side that will play the Hawks in a scratch match on Saturday night. Farmer will get what could be his only chance for two months to work alongside Chris Tarrant who will debut for the Dockers in what's tipped to be a one sided affair.

The Dockers have brought in a host of new faces to help Tarrant look less consipicuos. Calib Moursih will make his much anticipated debut after kicking a lazy 4 goals for East Fremantle before being ushered from the ground under a blanket and whisked away in a black fan incase any opposition sides got a look at him. Darren Rumble and Bennet Copping will venture off the Rookie list for a few hours to see how they cope against an AFL side - well, Hawthorn at least. Email users will finally get some relief from spam as Garrick Ibbotson takes a few hours off sending herbal remidies to run around in the Fremantle midfield. Then, of course, there's Shane Parker who has finally been given a chance to show the compeition how to get around the new hands in the back rule.

To make way for all the new talent, some of the old talent will be having a weeks rest. Matthew Pavlich will hand the captaincy over to Josh Carr for the day, who will hand them over to Paul Hasleby who will hand them over to Justin Longmuir who will probably try to unload them on his brother Troy before being forced to hand them over to Luke McPharlin. McPharlin is expected to hand them over to Aaron Sandilands who will offer them to Roger Hayden who will do his best to look after Antoni Grover before Grover finally gives them back to Peter Bell. As long as Bell doesn't try and give them back to Pavlich, everything should be sweet from that point on.

Remembering their recent results at Subiaco Oval, Hawthorn haven't bothered to field much of a side with the likes of Mitchell, Williams, Smith, Hodge, Dixon, Vandenberg, Campbell and Trent Croad staying at home so make sure you move to the Fremantle end at the start of each quarter.

The game kicks off at 6.40pm at Subiaco Oval. Members get in for free, everyone else is charged an exobitant fee.
