 | It's taken a while but Fremantle have finally had a win over Essendon. Their favourite son has turned his back on the Bombers, given them a couple of fingers up and signed up with the next big thing in football - The Fremantle Football Club. Harvey has said goodbye to the Bombers and he'll be joining Fremantle next where he'll fill the very big shoes left by Chris Waterman. | Harvey will be ending a twenty year career as a player and coach with Essendon to jump on the Freo bandwagon and while he reckons he's made the move to take on new challenges with different players, we all know it's because he wants a quick shot at being involved in another Premiership. Harvey's been giving a two year contract which won't be long enough for his haircut to come back into fashion but luckily the club have found him a nice home in Spearwood. Cameron Schwab said of the signing "He is a terrific addition to our clubs coaching structure and joins an already experienced and dedicated team at Fremantle. He later added that one of the big factors in the club approaching Harvey was the information that Kevin Sheedy is a firm believer that pinching Harvey's belly is good luck. |
