Become a Docker For a Day | Print |

At some stage in our footy days we all got a “Sorry mate you’re just not good enough” tap on the shoulder. I got it playing under 11’s but it was more of a hint than a tap. The coach began giving me wrong directions to the games. The first 4 times I thought it was a legitimate mistake but once half the season went by my concerns grew. You’d think I would’ve woken up sooner given the coach was my Dad!

So the reality of playing AFL escaped me but that’s not to say the dream ever left and I’m tipping I’m not the only one.

Who here amongst us wanted to play AFL but for whatever reason never made it? Am I the only one who has had vivid dreams of running out onto Subiaco oval on match day with twenty one team mates wearing the purple? Let’s be straight up here. We’ve all mentally put ourselves in a Freo jumper, run out with the team on Derby day, collected the ball on the half back line, had several bounces, sold Kerr and Embley magnificent dummies, made Judd look like a snail, handballed to Hasleby over the top of Cox, run on and received the ball back, taken a further two bounces, kicked a goal on the run from 50 metres on the boundary, high fived the Wiz then run past big Daniel and said, “How do like that one pal”?

Well guess what? We might like to think knee injuries rather than lack of ability held us back from making the grade but thanks to 'Chill, by Brownes' we now have the chance, through our kids, to get as close as humanly possible to making those incredible dreams somewhat of a reality.

'Chill, by Brownes' are running the Docker for a Day competition for the entire 2007 home and away season in all home games. They’re giving many of us, or at least our kids, the chance to do everything except line up and play. If you’re one of the lucky winners then you’ll get to perform things such as leading the team through the banner, join the warm up, tour the change rooms before the game and on top of all that you’ll be given four tickets to the game and your own match day Fremantle Guernsey. How good is that!

This 'Chill, by Brownes' competition has to be the greatest competition of all time. I mean I can’t see any downside whatsoever. The worst you can do is enjoy the magnificent 'Chill, by Brownes' products. Imagine kicking back watching an away game sinking a few Banana, Berry, Choc or Coffee Chills all while giving yourself, or specifically your kid, a chance at running out onto the ground the next week at Subiaco with the team.

Speaking of the 'Chill, by Brownes' products, I have to tell you, recently I’ve discovered the Brownes Mocha Chill and it’s beyond me how Brownes have been able to cram heaven into the cardboard container!

But don’t take my word for it, get down the local shop and grab a Chill product for yourself. Actually get a variety of Chill products because the more you enjoy them the more chances you get of being one of the winners. Win this competition for one of your kids or friends kids and you’ll be as big a hero to them as Matthew Pavlich is.

Entry to this magnificent 'Chill, Brownes' Docker for a Day Competition is open right now and continues until 5pm on the 1st June 2007. So that gives you approximately two months to get your entries in.

Come on Mums and Dads, don’t tell me you wouldn’t love photos of your youngster running out with the Dockers on match day. They would be prized possessions. So get into the 'Chill, by Brownes' now, get on the Docker for a Day website and get an entry in.
