It was an enormous event in which Norm Bernhardt decked his Carbiz Autos business out to an incredible level for the occasion. And did the names rock up or what? Norm put the word out to those who he had helped during the year and they all turned up to celebrate Evan Morgan’s big win. I’m sure I saw the likes of Casey Stoner and Mark Webber along with many other personalities and sporting identities. But the biggest one of all was Jeffery Farmer. Recently shafted by the Fremantle Football club and feeling not too welcome anywhere, Norm made the Wiz him feel right at home. Not that I saw the Wiz there but it was a bit crowd so he probably was. Dockerland spared no expense in putting on a magnificent menu of $1 hotdogs and chiko rolls from the adjoining
It was the event to be seen at and while we did our best to keep the prying eyes and the telescopic lenses out, don’t be surprised if you open up the social pages in this weekend’s papers to see the Carbiz Autos tipping competition award ceremony photos splashed across them.
It was a sensational day in which Norm awarded all of the weekly winners their Carbiz Autos breathalysers one by one and then Evan Morgan received a standing ovation when it came time for him to be crowned the 2008 Carbiz Autos Tipping champion and awarded the amazing portable DVD player. Evan Morgan won the overall competition by the barest of margins. The competition went down to the wire and in the end the Precision separated the two Dockelanders who finished on 128 points. Evan, or Mangoraven as he is known on Dockerland, just topped second placed T Doc by a few precision points. T Doc performed admirably scoring 128 also but just fell a few precision points short. Clive 4 Life ended in 3rd overall just one off the lead on 127 points and then Fish in 4th and Freo_Magic in 5th were both on 126 but again separated by the Precision. Fatsamslim came in 6th on 122 followed in seventh and eighth on 121 by Bulldog and SA Docker Girl respectively. Wristy came in 9th and then good old Ralphy Dagg rounded out the top ten ending the competition with a very impressive 120 overall.

Congratulations to the weekly winners of the Breathalysers on some sensational performances. Many of you tipped with your head and pocket rather than your heart and went against Fremantle
and it didn’t go down to well. However, given Carbiz Autos was sponsoring the competition and had put up for grabs some magnificent prizes, we will forgive and forget because we understand the lure of Carbiz Autos goodies was too much to refuse.Dockerland would like to thank Norm Bernhardt and his fantastic business Carbiz Autos for sponsoring the 2008 competition. Norm has been a very loyal long term supporter of Dockerland and we can’t thank him enough.
We urge all Dockerlanders to get in and see him when you need repairs or servicing for your vehicle. Norm genuinely does a great job and he really does do it for the appropriate price. What’s more is that if you tell him you’re a Dockerlander and you took part in the Carbiz Autos tipping competition he will look after you.
So again congratulations to all weekly winners and to Evan Morgan for winning overall. That brings the 2008 Carbiz Autos tipping competition to a close. We hope you enjoyed it and we look forward to 2009.

It’s been a long tough and painful season full of disappointments and again we purple clad, anchor wearing, heave hoe singing loyal Fremantle Docker fans find ourselves in September with a lot of bloody free time on our hands. Well while most of us have nothing to do but sulk, one Dockerlander in particular has a brand new Portable DVD player to keep himself occupied through these lonely September days. Dockerlander Evan Morgan has won the 2008 Carbiz Autos tipping competition and yesterday Dockerland held the award ceremony down at Carbiz Autos in Kardinya.
and it didn’t go down to well. However, given
