Luke McPharlin must be starting to regret ever signing up with Twiggy and Gina in that cattle station venture, with yet another calf injury putting him on the sidelines for the all important match against the Hawks this weekend. Alex Silvagni has been given the nod to start at centre half back in McPharlin’s place but there’s always a chance that he’ll be caught off guard by Cato and some point and be ruled out with a suspicious sounding injury. The big news is still to be revealed though, with the long Sunday bench not giving much away on whether or not Michael Walters will be back in the purple this week or slogging it out in the Teal. Tendai Mzungu’s return from injury is also sketchy, with Walters, Mzungu and Matt Taberner joining Danyle Pearce, Matt de Boer, Hayden Crozier and Max Duffy on the bench. Hayden Ballantyne’s tight hamstrings appear to have been sorted out with some number 11 lacky bands and Matthew Pavlich has sorted out his double vision.
