Fremantle have slipped down into the General Admission section of the ladder with an effort against the North Melbourne Kangaroos that lacked many of the key components of football, such as marking, kicking and holding on to the gentleman from the other team who has the ball. Freo never really got going, once again falling victim to the Kangaroos uncanny ability to fill the space at Subiaco Oval and kill off the Dockers run. It was a great start by the Dockers, with early goals seeming to come easy as a packed house settled in for a confidence boosting win but some courageous umpiring decisions kept the Roos in the game at quarter time and they clung to Fremantle for the rest of the game before finally squeezing past in the last quarter while Freo flapped about, desperately trying to scavenge a goal. The good news for Freo is that next week is the Derby so an easy four points will help them regain their footing before launching themselves back up the ladder in the weeks ahead.
