Fremantle have re-grouped after sending the B side over to Melbourne last weekend, packed up their gear and headed off across the country to some place called Geelong for the first of their warm up games before the grand final. The local Geelong team have offered to provide an opposition team to take the Dockers through their paces, apparently the locals even intend to make a bit of an event of it. Unfortunately for Fremantle they’ve lost a couple of players in all the hullabaloo and Michael Johnson will miss this week with a very minor bit of calf soreness that will definitely probably only keep him out for a week. Clancee Pearce has also caught the calf injury virus that’s been going through the team but he’s not expected to be back this year. Luke McPharlin was seen getting onto a plane but must have struggled with the leg room because he hasn’t been named in the side, after picking up a minor calf injury sometime in early July. It’s still a good looking list of ins though (as well as Zac Dawson) - David Mundy, Lee Spurr,, Hayden Ballantyne, Nik Suban, Stephen Hill, Chris Mayne, Michael Walters, Zac Clarke and Nat Fyfe. Surprisingly, Geelong were happy with the team that tripped over the line against Brisbane, just making the one change of Vardy for West.
